2024-11-09 04:29:57 +0000 UTCIβm from Germany and we have Field Days too, sometimes only about one sport (for example Handball or Soccer) or multiple ones (for example gymnastics, running, jumping, throwing) but itβs without parents just your school year and teachers. In the end you also can compete with your teachers haha and this is part of P.E Class that everyone needs to attend. Every class also has a chosen color that everyone needs to wear but itβs just only the shirt. You also get graded on the field days

We have swimming sports day, where you compete against others in your age group, can have parents bring you lunch, but usually just organise with your friends to combine what you bring to share. And parents do come watch too. Then we have sports day. Where it's land sports. For example, running, hurdles, high jump, shot put, long jump, etc. Similar again in that parents come and lunch situation can be the same. Also, you are in house colours too, competing for your house to win the overall tropy (done by a points system, depending on where you place) There are usually 4 Red, blue, green and yellow. People dress up on theme of their house colours and cheer on their team mates to win. It's honestly some of the best memories of school. I still remember the year our swimming was on Valentines day, so of course being in red house, that was our theme. I put hear stickers on my cheeks, proceeded to get a really nice tan on my face (borderline sunburn) and then ended up with white hearts on my cheeks, where the stickers had been. Let's just say, made for a fun shift on front counter at Maccas that day π€£π€£π€£π€£
