[ETS] Evil Template System— Chapter 1: The Fuck?

"What the fuck are you talking about?"

He couldn't help but curse.

"Meow~"

In this vast void, there were two silhouettes.

One of a man and the other of a cat.

"Meow~ Meow~" The cat rubbed its own ear before curling on the spot with an expression of pure bliss.

Ryuzaki's expression darkened as he looked at the floating screen in front of him.

[Accept?]

He had been drinking some blood tea when all of a sudden his vision blanked. Upon waking he found himself floating in this vast void. At first, he thought he was dreaming and remained calm but time continued to pass... It passed in a very realistic manner.

As Ryuzaki feared he would have to unravel his genius like Senku and count to billions this weird cat appeared.

"Meow~!"

Well, at least he didn't need to prove he was an equal to Senku.

Long story short, he was given the chance to travel between dimensions.

The benefit?

Shuttling through various fictional worlds with an overpowered template system.

The downside?

The Template System gave him missions which should he fail to complete would result in his death.

Now, Ryuzaki wasn't one to be indecisive. He was the type of person that easily accepted the various things life threw at him.

Sure he'd miss his girlfriend, his family and all his social connections but so be it. Might as well snag the chance at living way longer with new bonds.

So, Ryuzaki readily accepted the System.

There were two additional newbie benefits.

First, death wasn't predetermined should he fail. He basically, as it is in games, had nine lives.

Second, his first template will at least be of B+ Grade.

Templates were divided into the classical Alphabetical Fantasy Order.

[F—E—D—C—B—A—S—SS—EX]

Templates were basically Character Cards.

For example— Should he draw a Naruto Uzumaki Template Card he would gain all the strength of Naruto and his abilities/skills.

There were also variations to the cards where either random abilities or strengths were locked or the Template Card might be from a single version. The Template Card could give him Naruto's Template from Shippuden, which was honestly great, but Naruto's Template from Boruto would be much more appreciated.

This was what decided the grade of the Template Cards as well.

Additionally—

The Template System would randomly insert him into one of the characters of the fiction his mission belonged to. Using that character's identity he had to complete the tasks provided to him.  

To Ryuzaki this was the most tricky situation.

Having a predetermined identity while completing missions could either ease the difficulty of his mission or make it even harder.

"Why is a higher being such as yourself even acting like a pet cat?" Ryuzaki smiled wryly seeing the cat that was chasing its own tail.

The cat was the one that mechanically explained the workings of his system to him while "meowing". Ryuzaki couldn't be blamed for thinking the cat was some disguised entity.

Seeing that the cat had no intention of conversing with him Ryuzaki sighed before choosing the accept option.

The System Screen flashed and his vision blurred.

...

This time Ryuzaki was sitting in his own house.

The only discrepancy was the fact that outside his house was an empty space similar to the void from earlier. A jolt of information appeared in his mind.

This house was his subspace. He would return here after completing his missions.

The System Screen began to flash.

[Template System Triggered!]

Ryuzaki was not given any time to process things. His vision blanked once more as felt his soul travel outside his body.

[Good luck Host.]

...Were the last words he heard.

...

"Midoriya!"

"Deku wake up!"

Ryuzaki felt his head hurt.

He felt his mind go numb from the frequent shouting in his ears. He slowly opened his eyes and numerous faces appeared in his vision.

Ryuzaki was prepared for this.

He got up, dusting himself, before turning towards All Might who had a worried expression on his face.

"Young Midoriya, you can go and rest inside the Medical Hall if you're not feeling well." All Might's voice was full of concern. He was worried that Midoriya had been overtraining.

He did not want the young boy to destroy his own body prematurely.

"I'm alright All Might!" Ryuzaki got up with the help of Ochako's hand and rubbed the back of his head with an embarrassed expression, "I had trouble sleeping last night which might be the reason..."

"Really?" All Might was skeptical but he knew if Midoriya wanted to train One for All he would need to damage his body.

From what he saw there were no clear signs of injury or inconsistency in his movements.

"I'd like to retire from the Heroes vs Villains Simulation battle," Ryuzaki spoke smoothly before turning to Ochako, "Sorry, you're without a partner now..."

"Ah no no it's okay Sensei will arrange another partner for me! You go rest!" She waved her fist encouragingly and Ryuzaki smiled.

"That's alright, do you need someone to accompany you Young Midoriya?"

"I..." Ryuzaki was flustered.

All Might smiled, "How about this, Young Ochako you go accompany him. Once you're back I'll get someone to substitute Young Midoriya."

"Oh! Sure!" Ochako smiled brightly as walked up to Ryuzaki and said, "Let's go!"

"Hmph! Wimp!" An arrogant voice snorted but Ryuzaki didn't mind.

He followed after Ochako, his fluster from earlier vanishing without a trace. His eyes were fixed onto Ochako's back as she led the way.

...

They reached the locker room.

The men's and women's changing rooms were obviously separated.

"You should stay in your Hero Costume since you have to come back and participate in the simulation. I'm sad, I wanted to join too..." Ryuzaki feigned sadness as Ochako nodded.

"Yeah, but it's alright we'll be training in the future together anyway! I'll just stay outside while you change. " Ochako smiled brightly as Ryuzaki entered the changing room.

...

Inside the Changing Room.

Ryuzaki pulled the hideous costume off of him before wearing the usual gym uniform of U.A.

He clenched his fists a bit and took a good feel of the body he was in.

It's better than what I expected. 20-30% of my original strength. Shouldn't be a problem while ambushing her. Though... Her Quirk makes things tricky.

Ryuzaki hadn't chosen to retire from the simulation on a whim.

The moment he opened his eyes and saw Ochako the System Screen flashed in front of his face.

Main Mission— Become the most Hated Villain across the World in My Hero Academia

Abilities— One For All (C+)

Current Template— Full Mask Hollow Ichigo (A-)

Mission Difficulty— D+

Note— With Hollow Ichigo's full power you are quite literally the strongest being in this World but that doesn't mean you are without danger. Some special Quirks can still kill you. Mission Difficulty has been assigned as D+ since this mission requires the Mental Fortitude to become a true Villain. Should the host have no mental barriers then the Mission is undoubtedly easy. Ps. You cannot use a hidden alias. Midoriya Izuku, the bearer of One For All, should be the one bearing all the blame for your actions.]

[To assist the host in his actions the System will provide suitable Sub-Missions with System Points as rewards. Once the host completes his mission he can use the System Points to permanently buy one of the Templates abilities. For Example— Purchasing the ability Cero would cost 50,000 SP. Purchasing the entire Template would cost 500,000 SP. More details will be provided after completion.]
