Hey everyone!
I wanted to give you an update with some latest developments here at The Base Mesh!
End of Year Asset Goal (and beyond)
It's very satisfying watching the prop number go up and up. Some days it feels like the needle hasn't shifted at all, other times I think, "when did that happen?".
I'd like you to read it here first that by the end of the year, I intend to have 850 props on the site! That puts me on track for getting to 1000 around February - March.
Patreon Q&A

Photogrammetry
I recently bought some new hardware which I'm super excited about. This as it means I can start gathering a wider range of assets from the real-world and converting them into usable meshes for the site. I'll share more in the near future!
Model Donations This is a wide ranging topic and something I'll go more in-depth about in the Q&A, but I'm interested in opening up model donations towards the end of this year / beginning of next year. How this will work in practice is I'll receive a donation and then curate that model so it matches the existing quality on the site. Stay tuned.
Upcoming Video
A video will be dropping by the end of the month that'll be a process of how to take assets from the site and optimise the geometry further. If you have suggestions for upcoming videos, please let me know!
