Announcement! THE BIG RELAUNCH!

Hey everyone!

2022 has been an extremely rough year for me. My mental health has made it extremely difficult to write or record and I've spent the last few months doing a full personal rebuild.

As such I've not promoted this Patreon much. I said in April I had to change expectations of current subscribers, and I know that for many that was not the experience they signed up for when I started. While many have been incredibly supportive regardless, those that left were justified in doing so, and the Patreon has slowly lost momentum.

Some counselling and serious thought later and I've decided to pursue taking a much more active part in content creation. It's what I love, and what my job has taken away so much energy from. I'm still off sick from that job because of the feelings of stress and anxiety it gives me, but that presents an opportunity.

So, without a further ado...

THIS PATREON IS GETTING A RELAUNCH!

There will be new tiers, new offerings and more direct communication through this site. I've been using the Discord, but that's also lost some momentum over time and I think I need to make sure everyone is getting the same engagement.

This will start on September 2nd. I've chosen this date to ensure timezones and don't result in the new tiers double charging.

The list of definite changes are as follows:

• The $2/£1.25 tier will be dropped. It's nice to have a tip jar, but it provided no benefits and that was reflected in the extremely low uptake of the tier throughout this Patreons life

• There will be two new tiers - one at $50/£35 (with three slots) and another at $100 (with two). The reward for the first tier is a 3000 word story each month. The second is a 3000 word story and an audiobook recording of the story. These will only be accessible on the Patreon for the first month, but the commissioners may publish them elseware after a month on the site. If anyone drops this tier, I will annouce a space has opened on social media and through the Patreon. at the start of the next month or in the same month if a refund is requested. 

• The $5/£3.50 and $10/£7 tiers will have their rewards slightly changed. The $5 will provide access to all stories published on the Patreon. The $10 will provide access to all the stories and audiobooks published. This makes them a way to support my writing and, if you'd like to upgrade further, my audiobooks, as well as access to all of my work over the last couple of years.

• I will post work publically one year after they have gone up here. This was the previous policy, but due to the Patreons difficulties, I've deliberately avoided doing it to ensure current Patrons aren't losing out.

I'm still considering other changes but these are the definites. The thing I want to ensure is that no one currently subscribed is losing out. In the case of $10 subs, they are gaining by this change. The main difference is that, until I reach the goal of $1000 I set when I first started the Patreon, most of my personal projects will take a sideline. Opportunities for Development and Without A Care, both of which have had no updates in a while, are now definitely on hold.
