I love the designs of Ranger and Bard.

Also: thanks Fili for confirming that. During the whole conversation i was having fun and did not feel in the least like i was being antagonizing or anything, so... i apologize for coming off like that.

Simone Spinozzi

I apologize Rogue. I did not feel like i was either lecturing nor was i offended or anything. I felt like i was doing an amusing conversation about expectations and similarities in dress styles and stuff like that. To be fair i was finding the whole conversation funny in a "let's nerd out about X or Y or Z" and i was not meaning to antagonize anybody.

Simone Spinozzi

its ok! i like the conversation, i like learning new things

Dude no one asked for your wannabe scholar lecture. If you're that offended by something resembling a culture that isn't Europe, maybe do some self reflection and stop pretending you know more than you do.

ValkyrieRhapsody

So here's my question, do they then get to rest when their final mark is hit?

ValkyrieRhapsody

What about his skeleton horsie? I just feel he'd have a skelly horse

Byzantine and the Mongols were very close allies ever since about a couple of centuries after Rome fell. the only difference in their attire was basically that the byzantine liked their studded armor like you did there but put some gambison on top with the red cross over a white background. The mongols were not really that much into making sure their opponents knew that what they were wearing had layers of metal under the leather/fabric that covered it so the studs were usually covered, so that it just looked like heavy mountain clothing and the only way to know if you had metal armor was to try and knife you.

Simone Spinozzi

nah this design is pretty much entirely based on mongolian/korean archers circa 16th century ish (i think) (with the exception of that piece of fabric covering their mouth) its not rly byzantine or if it is, asians borrowed it :p

oh, that's lovely. ❤️ Wait. Less eurocentric!? I'm italian and people dressed like that to fight less than 300 km from where i live, just on the other coast across the sea. Only the colors are different in that the dude here is not wearing the white gambison with the red cross but a simple brown one, it's otherwise functionally identical.
🤣👍💖💯
And England is not even part of EU anymore, so that makes this dude in bizantine attire a lot more european than an english bowman. Unless suddenly what was left of the roman empire, that lasted way more than Rome, and well into the 15th century (or 19th, depending on who you ask, because of austro-hungaric pride), is not part of europe anymore.
🤪😜
But yes, me being a pedantic idiot aside... you did a great job indeed. ❤️

Simone Spinozzi

They look fantastic. I love the little touch of orange.
