1985 World Snooker Final - THE REMATCH
Added 2025-05-04 19:00:08 +0000 UTC40 years ago, 18 million people were glued to their TV sets after midnight as Dennis Taylor and Steve Davis played the final frame of their epic match for the 1985 World Snooker Championship which will forever be known as the Black Ball Final as the match literally came down to the final ball to be potted.
Today I react to the 25th Anniversary Rematch featuring the two legends as they play an exhibition match and re-enact the final moments of that extraordinary battle of skill, mental strength and luck.

I’ve been hooked to watching Ronnie O’Sullivan in the past few years, and before that I I didn’t have the slight bit of interest in snooker. To me, Ronnie’s biggest enemy is himself. If he could overcome that, he’d never be beaten. But we all have our demons and it’s what makes him human, and it’s the reason no-one can take their eyes off him. I’ve loved the drama of this latest World Championship!
