The top panel actually changed quite a bit from the thumbnail. I had initially planned a panel that was more of a straight on shot, which was fine but kind of boring. I also used a similar shot a few pages back, when Aidan was picking up the notes on page 33. So I decided to change it up by doing a top down shot.
One piece of advice I learned early on was from Mad Rupert (who makes the webcomic Sakana), which was to try and vary up pages by including different types of panels, like full bodies/feet! So I decided I needed to add in some feet.
