a lot of people guessed at what that symbol meant for the last few chapters, and most people guessed necromancy. nope. :) The necromancy symbol has actually been shown already on page 4.28, but it's kind of obscured by the background elements. and the bodies. the bodies also distract from it.
this page was a lot of me dropping big blobs of ink on the paper and blowing it around to get the effect you see in panel 4 (the middle panel). it was incredibly messy. I did not prepare for it. I do not recommend dropping ink without preparation.
in other news: we finally have a bed in the new place! we had a bed before, technically, but we had the mattress on the floor for a while because we were going to paint our bedroom. Now that the bedroom is painted, the bed is set up, and I can work on putting together my office in a way that's much more usable. yay.
