I was cursed with the unfortunate surprise of catching one (1) bedbug on our headboard, and I've been losing my mind and wrecking my body absolutely tearing up our entire place prepping the place for pest control while also trying to find the nest. After like a week of wrapping everything in plastic and hauling it away while doing the most aggressive vacuuming I have ever done in my life, I have yet to see any signs of even a single other bedbug. I'm cautiously optimistic that it was just a single vagrant bug that happened to wander into our room, but pest control is scheduled to arrive tomorrow so we'll see.
Either way I'm going to crucify the bug I caught for making me go through all this during a time when I'm already struggling to keep up with the projects I've committed to. I'm gonna display his tiny disgusting bug carapace up as a warning to the other bugs who may think it wise to infest our home because I am SO TIRED OMFG

not only did I check, but I also dismantled quite a bit of stuff in the room. The pest control guy who came over thought everything looked pretty clean, so he just put down some traps to see if we need to spray. Hopefully we get nothing! 🙏

2024-12-18 13:08:44 +0000 UTCI'm sure you did, but did you check all the nooks and crannies in and around your bed and mattress and stuff? That's typically where they like to hide. Look for the stains from the frass! I'm so sorry though, that's stressful!
