Preview: Bad movie video
Added 2026-02-11 11:04:48 +0000 UTC
In the home stretch! I believe the finished video won't be too long - probably about 90 minutes. Although Part 4 is called The Story, to avoid redundancy I kind of split plot details between Parts 4, 5, and 6 to bring them up when they became relevant.
There are 8 parts total so there are still some surprises - and I recommend not googling about the movie to avoid spoilers. But I do recommend watching the movie in full, it's very fun to watch. It can be streamed here.
Has anyone seen it before? I thought about posting pics of only my cosplays to see if anyone in the world could guess based on that, but I ultimately decided I would be a little disappointed if they did, since I've kept it a secret for so long.
*Please note that video previews are works in progress. I am not soliciting critical feedback*

I watched this last night while cooking dinner and it was so good I then had to immediately watch it again this morning giving it my full attention. I was laughing so hard, can’t wait to see the rest!

YES lol I was thinking that in the original script, she sarcastically says, "a small detail, really." And then in a revision Shane decides to google "a small detail synonym" and changes it to the word "nuance" and nobody corrects her.

30:53 i'm fairly sure that what she means by 'nuance' is whatever the american equivalent to the british 'trifle' is, like a brush off of a trivial thing in a "'tis a mere trifle' kinda way. maybe something like 'pff, details' would be closer to what i think it's supposed to be? and i think you're right that she just didn't know what nuance really meant and maybe associated it with similarly sophisticated words like trivial?

Actually, the further into the video I get, the more Czech he sounds lol. I'll have to get a native speaker in my family to weigh in

As a native swampdweller, I'm 95% sure they filmed in the Hollywood/Ft. Lauderdale area. Also, was excited to see Czech representation, but he's 100% playing up the accent and adding more rhotic sounds. Probably to fit into that vampire niche.

I can hardly contain my excitement. A nuance, really.

This is set in a place called Spoon River? In high school many of us had to read a book called Spoon River Anthology where the ghostly residents of the Spoon River graveyard would manifest and talk about their lives before they died. Exactly the kind of work a dramatic, literary, English-is-my-favorite-subject, goth-curious type young person would draw inspiration from!

What an interesting film. The main character is intriguing a way I can’t describe.
