I have enough hats that I should really wear one in every vid

“I dont think the evermore video will get a good amount of sheer number views” Currently the 2nd most popular vid on your channel I seen the master post with all the rambles but I still scroll all the way down because I feel like human error there might be a missing video. Plus I like seeing all the polls and seeing what topic failed or got close to winning.

Robert Romero Jr

You commissioned the Evermore parody? 😂 I was so confused! I thought maybe someone on youtube had already made a parody on youtube and you'd just asked to use it, but the references were so exact to your points, it didn't make sense! It almost felt like you were taking jokes from the song for your video 😂 sort of a relief to get that all sorted out in my head

Isaac Banta

love the edited videos but a twitch stream every once in a while would be fun!

the scarecrow walks at midnight is a favorite of mine too! the atmosphere was so well written in that book. i could really feel the allergies.

Swampdrinker

I think you would love the Dragon Quest games, they're incredibly wholesome and just games about chilling with your friends while going on an adventure. Tim Rogers did a solid review for Kotaku back in 2018 for Dragon Quest XI when it came out that gives a good look at what there is to love in the series and whether it's not for you. I love the dragon quest games and they've been my favorite chill game for a long time, definitely worth checking out they're very accessible and great! plus they have demos which is always a huge bonus!

oh man im so happy youre going to the efteling and also coming to the netherlands thats so cool!!! there are meet and greets with fairy tale characters in the forest, and they do those with puppets so that might be fun to check out. i dont know if the puppeteers speak english though. as for restaurants polle's kitchen is super fun to go to, I find the atmosphere there to be very comforting. for rides baron 1889 was super popular when i went to the efteling a few years ago and it had the longest line so maybe try to do that one as soon as possible. theres a whole book written by a famous author about the mythos of the ride. the youtuber mo mo obrien went to the efteling too so you should check out her video on it :)

My family and I also planned a trip to Japan in 2019 for 2020 as my graduation trip and it also got pushed back indefinitely thanks to Ms Rona, she's screwed us over one way or another :')

It's okay to be stinky!

I apologize if someone else already said this, but small correction: Mountain Dew is a lemon-lime soda that does have caffeine in it.

Joseph Genser

it is somewhat comforting to know that i am not the only one whose plan to make a trip to japan was screwed over by the pandemic :(

lain taylor

If it is a real ficus, I'd recommend leaving it behind (heartwrenching as that might be). If you get caught trying to bring a plant into the US, you could be charged a huge fine. That's what a flight attendant told me when I almost took a Scottish banana off the plane into New York.

Cedonia Peterson

Jenny I just re-watched this and I happened to glance at the reflection in your Scarecrow Walks at Midnight print.... Is that. A blobfish??

Taylor Calloway

I am so glad you talked about the tax writeoffs. I do taxes for a living but most of my clients are manufacturers so I've always wondered about youtube expenses.

Kristen

I cant believe I manifested you owning neopets merch

I'm completely late to this but if you haven't already seen it, I highly recommend Mo Mo O'Brien's video on Efteling. It's very fun and informative!

Oh I have that quagsire, literally the softest plush I've ever had

Lex Oberwetter

I don't like Duolingo, so I've been using an app called Drops to learn Japanese. It's really fun! You might want to try it.

If you're looking for English Speaking content about Efteling, Nikkietutorials has a video where she tests 24 hour foundation at that park! So it's not really about the theme park, but a lot of it was filmed there.

Emmaline Kim

My family used to travel to the Netherlands a lot when I was a kid, and we always went to this park called Linnaeushof which is basically a giant playground. It's like the size of an amusement park, but instead of rides they just have huge playground structures. All of their rides are operated by either the kids or the parents and some of the stuff is pretty impressive!

Emmaline Kim

One of the most useful tips I've heard for traveling abroad is that if you need to ask if someone speaks English, you can just ask in English.

Nick Sullivan

+1 to Twitch streams

Your twitch streams literally got me through the pandemic. I know they take up a lot of time, but know they were deeply appreciated!

Derek Gossi

if you ever feel like u wanna twitch stream, please do!! i would love to hang out n chill for a bit :))

Lucky_Lychee

Congrats on the Patreon milestone!

Toruk; not a musical. Its a Cirque Du Solei show.

Ariadne L

Incredibly excited for you to experience the translated voiceover in the Efteling's Baron 1898.

Rik

What musical was she talking about? Tarook? Tuhruk? Te Rook?

emily b

I care about the Evermore video!!

Tom Padget

Hi Jenny - I just went to Efteling last week! I am from Denmark and I travelled to the Netherlands for three nights with four friends and we spent two full days in Efteling: - Rides to start with: The Fairytail Forest! If you start out with it, there are less people and children and you can enjoy the animatronics and short "shows" more alone. - Rides with long wait: All the rollercoasters had 60+ mins waits when we were there - however, they are also very cautious and have a lower capacity on the rides due to corona, so that could have affected the lines maybe. - Language: English works fine, especially in the park. We lived in a hostel in Tilburg close to the park, and we had some language issues at a restaurant there, but most people speak English very well as a second language and you can get by in the Netherlands just fine without learning Dutch. The story in some of the shows in the park are only in Dutch however, which makes some of them a bit difficult to understand, but not a whole lot. - Vegetarian: I am also vegetarian and prior to my visit to the park I had read in blogs online that that was very difficult in the park. They must have made some recent changes, because I did not have the same trouble and they are very good at labelling the options. The restaurant near the entrance (Het Witte Paard?) had a great range of options for lunch (probably the best all-around meal we had in the park) and the Pancake house is a mandatory visit when in the Netherlands. The dutch love fries so that is also easy to come by. Multiple places in the park they served vegetarian burgers and they were all different, which was fun - the best one we found was served in a food stall near the Train station. The last day we had dinner at the restaurant Panorama close to the Vogel Rok ride, and while their vegetarian burger was okay, their vegan lasagna was boring and sad and the service was extremely bad and slow, even though the restaurant was almost empty. So have a nice dinner somewhere else in the park. - Must trys: You will probably love everything in Reizenrijk, which I guess is more the olden part of the park. It was fun and different from what I have tried in Denmark at least. Of the rollercoasters, their "Joris en de Draak" was amazingly well-executed and fun. In our group, we in particularly loved the dark ride Vogel Rok and we had so much fun with all of the distinct and catchy music in most rides. Especially the music in the world-tour ride Jokie en Jet, Monsieur Cannibale, and the Pirana were favorites amoung us. Also the evening water show was fun and different from what we had seen before. Honestly, we had fun in the park, two days were enough for us to try all things (that were not exclusively for children). The only ride that was not worth the long wait in our opinion was the water rollercoaster De Vligende Hollander, but it was okay. Sorry for the wall of text - I hope maybe some of it is useful.

Mathias Rav

Just an FWI: we do not eat horsemeat in The Netherlands! We may use it for fast food low quality food, but that is no different from McDonalds. No horse stew here hahah! If you want some fried fast food, vegiaterian snacks, I could recommend the eierbal (fried egg snack) and the kaasschnitzel (like a chicken nugget, but with cheese!)

Spublii

The Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu would be a fun stream to watch - Jenny is probably the one YouTuber who could make sense of how that game happened

Too bad you had to make a new channel for exclusives, but understand why. I was one of the ones that made an "unlisted" Jenny Nicholson playlist with all the Patreon videos then made it private when you messaged me, but did start a trend of people making public playlist.

LeftOn4ya

I would love more twitch streams!!!

jacob Angleton

Did you write off the forces of destiny dolls?

Michael Weingartner

As an adult who has disposable income (yay!) and a regular job and responsibilities (boo), just spend the time editing.

Evan Magnusson

damnit jenny i had just gotten over souplantation being gone.

J jamerson

Well, I kind of blew off your pick of Moderna as just rooting for the team you were on but it turns out, you were right about it. You were right. Tell your sister... you were right....

Dash

Command strips also don't adhere to textured walls very well. You might want to try picture hooks; they put a very small hole in the drywall, though.

Eli Pollock

Command strips loosen when it is very humid. I’ve lost several frames due to my evaporative cooler.

Rachel W Bacon

Jenny buying a cob of corn plush and not remembering why is absolutely the kind of behind the scenes patreon content I signed up for.

Emily in Prague

Honestly, I would to see you do the odd twitch stream, maybe playing old Barbie games if you can get them to work lol

Emily in Prague

I wonder whether Jenny will say anything about the new Suicide Squad. I have watched her Amanda Waller sketch dozens of times. I know she doesn’t really do full bits in things she doesn’t feel strongly about but I’m just curious about her thoughts.

Aramis Calcutt

I would love to see more twitch streams!

Kate Shep

I absolutely love when you stream so the way I see it if we get to see you then it's not time that could have been spent better because we got to see you. Plus we don't want you to get burnt out on editing.

Narcissa Deville

why is everyone sleeping on diet ginger ale

Kate Thompson

NEVER EVER THINK A VIDEO IS TOO LONG THERE IS NO SUCH THING

Emily Dahl

I'm so excited you're going to do an Efteling video! Since you always pay a lot of attention to theming it seems like a perfect park for you and it'll allow me to go back to great childhood memories! It's been ~10 years since I've been there though, so I don't really have advice for you. I would support everyone saying you don't need to worry about language though, basically everyone you meet will know enough English to help you out when you need something/are looking for something and maybe 8 or 9 out of 10 will be able to have a full conversation in English.

Roland

I would love twitch streams. Plus with these monthly videos it’s not like we’re starved for more structured video content.

Deirdre Bouquet

WOuld love to see the twitch streams. I noticed the dead pixels when watching your Disneyland vlog and you were on pirates but I'm not sure what's causing it. Also yes Moderna is the best one, because I also got it and so did Dolly Parton.

Lenimph

those winx dolls are actually authentic, they were just china exclusive dolls so they're only available on aliexpress!

dolly

what is jenny's hair deliberately hiding on the right side of her shirt lmao

vera ☮︎

If you want to learn a language, I've found that Duolingo is better for vocabulary/brushing up on your skills rather than learning from scratch. I've found Babbel to be super helpful and retentive bc they have you practice conversations and responses which Duolingo doesn't do. Also, I was super surprised how many people in Europe speak multiple languages including English so you'll be fine, although it is fun flexing your Duolingo skills. Do NOT try it with the Parisians though

SincerelyEarnest

It makes me wonder about Jenny's opinion on other video platforms. Would she be willing to put some stuff on Vimeo like Todd in the Shadows? Or is that too complicated for her use case?

Stephen Gillie

personally i don’t watch twitch since i don’t want games spoiled that i’m going to play and the games that i don’t want to play i wouldn’t watch on twitch anyway. but games like jackbox with friends or minecraft I’d probably watch since they have a lot of variability

Kelsey Barton

We're all on the same side. Us vs the virus.

Jerry Nicholson

oh no im getting pfizer tomorrow if only i watched this video before

salem

Pfizer or fight!

Island Boy

My recent experience with command strips has been horrible. Everything has fallen. I don't know if they changed something, but it's been the last several packs with correct use. I'm back to using nails. :(

Maxfield Stanton

When you were saying the porg had "been recently vacuumed," I thought you were gonna say he'd been recently vaccinated

matt

Seeing so many Winx Club items I just have to ask whether you ever considered making a video about it like the one for vampire diaries. I don't know whether it would work, but I used to watch it with my sister back in the day and would love it just for the nostalgia of it. Also just to echo what everyone else said getting around in the Netherlands just with English is no issue whatsoever.

Hannes

How long does it take to vacuum a giant porg 🤔 Does Aragog get regular vacuuming too?

Luis

Does anyone know what the live show she's talking about in her awards section is?

littledarkage

I personally think you should make a second channel to post twitch streams, because I like watching them but twitch is for some reason so awful and buggy for me to use so I only watch twitch through YouTube re-uploads

Victoria Brucas

You should def stream on twitch again watching you play sonic was so fun!

✿ SHYY1000000✿

Jenny I think the lightning McQueen crocs literally might have sold out because of you. Who said you weren’t an influencer?

Cory Putnam

Hi Jenny. Regarding livestreaming games: How open are you to taking game recommendations? I think that with the right games, your livestreaming sessions could be a joy for both you and your viewers, and many of your patrons ought to have good suggestions for games to check out.

Samus Aran

Yes please to more Halloween content

Casey May

Jenny! As a Dutch person and fellow horse girl, I just wanna calm your nerves by assuring you that like 99,5% of Dutch people do not eat horse meat, but there was a scandal at IKEA a few years ago where it turned out some of their food had horse meat in it?! Anyway I think it's been resolved. De Efteling is great, be sure to check out the talking trashcans and the painted pigeons, they're some of the weirdest things there (also they used to play the extremely catchy Efteling music in train stations at night to keep homeless people out, do with that what you will).

A winx video would be great! (My 6yo is currently obsessed so I've been watching a lot)

Tasha

I’m with you Jenny, only no reservation on my part whatsoever: Star Wars is officially dead to me. Rise of Skywalker is such a phenomenal shit pile of bad ideas … and I absolutely loathe all of the George Lucas prequels, while the Disney prequels are fine and have some merits in my opinion, but exist for no real reason (like literally everyone one of the final trilogy movies)

Aaron Smith

Honestly I couldn’t guarantee I’d watch every stream but the streams might actually be good for content droughts as it shows you’re still actually doing stuff with the limited object permanence the internet has (because I know people have a habit of assuming YouTubers are doing nothing if they haven’t uploaded when typically it’s the opposite). Especially if you do things like tweet clips.

Hey! San Ramon! Contra Costa County high five! 👋🏻

BrittaBott

Echoing the thoughts of some others here, We love the twitch streams, but only when they are a relief for YOU as well as us! I never begrudge seeing you do something else while we are "waiting" for a video. But I also understand that for content creators stress relief projects can backfire on you. Stream when you want and don't add it to your plate as something you should or shouldnt do.

Courtney Zanetti

My friends and I love your streams, so if you like doing them, that would be great!

Jason Stone

My Quagsire plush arrives on Saturday and I’m so excited! Thanks for sharing.

Julie Pastel

i would like twitch streams but please upload them to youtube if you don’t mind! they don’t have to be edited i just prefer to put things on my tv on youtube.

Talix

Iconic Efteling food: Poffertjes. They’re little puffy dough balls fried on a big dimpled griddle and dusted with sugar. Watching them make them at high speed is half the fun. In terms of “insider tips”, one nice thing about the Efteling is that the best/most iconic rides are easy to get on. The longest lines are mostly for the newer roller coasters which are skippable (don’t skip the Flying Dutchman though; it has great theming). Just plan your day around getting on Symbolica, probably right at opening, and the rest is easy.

i named my dog albus before joanne came out as a terf fml

I lived in Germany when I was a little kid, and when my family said we were going to Europa-Park, I got really excited about going to "my rope-o park" and imagined that all the employees would know me by name, because it was my park and all. Needless to say I was very disappointed. When we got home I made a little theme park with my toys and put a shoelace around them to indicate that it was my rope-o park.

Salem Blake

In my opinion any content is good content so I would love twitch streams and wouldn't judge you for doing them over editing. I feel like as a creator you allowed breaks and to do different things for you and your audience.

August Dunphy

did anyone else see the blobfish plush looming omniously in the reflection at 19:54 😍

i love that you love play-by-play because it just goes to show that every toy, no matter how quirky, can find a loving home somewhere. as a "serious" pokemon/digimon collector, the play-by-play plush were always the bane of my existence, and my piyomon collection will never be "complete" because i refuse to open up my home for them.

ridi

you know you can deduct things that you intend to be in videos if even if you don't use them in that calendar year right? you can just dedicate a credit or debit card to your props department and use that account completely for "props". talk to your accountant but that's what they did at the last production company place I worked.

Hannah Ep

I don't think you need to worry to much about learning Dutch. Basically everyone in that country speaks English fluently. It might have one of the highest levels of English fluency of any non-native English speaking country.

Kyle Williams

I've tried watching some of Adum's editing streams, but editing is such an annoying process to watch someone else do. The constant scanning and replaying of sound bits gets kind of grating. To me it just ruins the initial experience of whatever content they're producing.

Bryan Sutton

Re: Twitch streams 1) I don't think editing streams are a good idea. Whenever I watched someone editing their content, I felt like I was watching the content itself. Like if someone is editing content live and just basically shows everything for free and offers people to get that content early if they pay for it. Idk, that part feels shady. Also, I think when you stream yourself and the only thing you're doing is editing- it just feels creepy- It's like watching a stranger eating, it feels more like a weird parasocial thing rather than a normal fun stream. (YMS is actually doing that with editing the sardonicast episodes-showing them live in their entirety and later putting them up for Patreon/premium memberships. Also, I suppose this is more of a personality thing but his comments when he's editing can be so off- it's kind of one of the reasons why I only listen to the podcast whenever there's a guest now. Like when he edited the Jenny episode https://m.twitch.tv/videos/1066457475 - he actually got super angry that Ralph and Jenny talked about theme parks (2:00:34) and he also had a weird rant on Lindsay Ellis (11:08) ) 2) I mostly kind of miss streams when they're live because of time areas so I mostly use VODs and just youtube channels like Double Toasted and greenisnotnick. But given your hesitance to put an archive (which is 100% understandable, if I'd upload videos to Patreon and people were using them to track down friends of mine I also would rule out the idea of a VOD thing) I'd like to offer something else: You can post on the Patreon page stream invitations a few days in advance and also when they're happening. Idk, I just really don't like being on Twitter that much and Fredrick Knudsen is actually using Patreon to tell people he's streaming on twitch.

Yoav Fine

Can backups of twitch streams be available for like one month on YouTube for patreons? Maybe being short-lived helps with the creepiness factor, but having a window to watch helps people in different timezones/schedules.

More than one person has suggested that Jenny do editing streams on Twitch. At first I thought that sounded like a great idea, and I'd be more likely to watch that than a video game stream. Folding Ideas does it sometimes. But then I realized, because Jenny is a woman and this is The Innernet, she'd have to deal with a lot of back seat editing.

Jerry Nicholson

Shifting the paradigm, disrupting the status quo

Jerry Nicholson

Devastated to learn that I couldn't write off my $200/month G Fuel addiction on taxes if I was a professional YouTuber

I love the streams, but the lack of VODs for non-subs was a source of frustration. I'm in the uk and frequently missed them live.

I am looking forward to your return to Twitch (thanks for the new emotes by the way, I regularly use "Quackers"), but on the other hand I am no longer stressed about potentially missing your streams which is also a good thing. As a European I'd find you streaming mostly in the middle of a busy workday, if Twitch would even bother to notify me in a timely manner. Maybe you could do a fun one-off event, invite Bailey to stream with you on a Sunday afternoon or something? Anyway, you do as you feel comfortable with and we'll have a nice surprise when you eventually return to Twitch

Darth_Credible_Halk

Hahaha no shame it was an honest question I think, I also like the long form content So Much thay yes, any other venture is at odds with my preferences I guess if you're asking 😁

Andrew Hill

Nooo! They are for us! You are welcome to them they are so good hahaha

Andrew Hill

I adore your twitch streams. A lot of streamers go for 4-7 hours and are impossible to keep up with or catch up on. Your shorter streams are way more accessible so yes please do continue! Also keep bringing your sister on, she's a hoot.

Austin Boulter

Re: Faith between videos I just want to say (and I hope others feel the same) that I hope you don't feel too much pressure from a growing Patron count or subscriber count. Just do you. Things don't have to be perfect for people to feel like their ONE TO FIVE DOLLARS were worth.

feedback RE: twitch streaming - i like how youtube videos are structured. each sentence in the video has been given thought in the process of writing, shooting, & editing. you don't get that editorial quality with live streaming. youtube > twitch. my two cents.

Alexander Weir

Meanwhile, here I am thinking it wouldn't really be right to go back and watch old rambles from before I joined the Patreon, because I wasn't a patron when they were made so they aren't really "for" me, ha ha.

Citizen Calmar

The most important Dutch phrase you need to know is “lekker!”

Devin Beliveau

Since you asked …. I would rather you spent the time editing rather than Twitch streaming.

Aramis Calcutt

I hope (Jenny) you have seen, or maybe could ever take the time, to watch a review of Dragon Quest by a guy named Tim Rogers. He did it while working for Kotaku, so it's uploaded to their channel, and I think you would appreciate it. It's two parts, totaling 70 minutes. It's well thought out and funny, and offers a perspective outside the norm of most reviews I've seen on the game. He has other reviews that are equally long and equally ramble-y.

In my experience, after you take a pause from making videos long enough, stuff like Twitch streams feel relaxing, even if you don't save the VOD for later cOnTenT viewing. The trick is to make it a weekly thing like "Every Friday I will play X game for do Y thing with my friends." It feels like a day well spent while also being a lot less taxing than working on a video nonstop. It makes for a nice break, I'd recommend it!

JelloApocalypse

I'm gonna echo the comments that I only have time for Twitch streams when I can playback VOD, but I understand your reasoning for not wanting to save backups of streams. <3 If it made you happy to stream though you should, you are Pro Gamer Jenny after all. I'd love another Halloween video this year! I know you were mentioning that other reality show video you wanted to do and I think you might have spoiled it on Twitter so I know what it is, and not to spoil further on here but I think it fits October vibes...

humority

I like the streams and I'm not even much of a Twitch watcher generally. From a work perspective I hope they're a good return on your labor since you get to publish instantly, and from a fun perspective, I, uh, hope they're fun! And they prove your life force has not vanished from perception (not that you have any such obligation).

Ugino

I will say that yes, your videos are always worth the wait! patreon and non patreon. I also love the longer format videos as do a lot of other people! I was subscribed to your twitch!! It was really fun watching you and bailey play. Would love to watch you play putt putt or something!

Conor

I'd love to see more Twitch streams, I miss them!

plz put this name after 'plz put this name last thx jenny' thx jenny

W.R.T to the question of Twitch vs more Youtube editing time: I'm a Patreon subscriber to support you for whatever videos you're able to put out. I don't personally watch Twitch, but you should do Twitch as a break from editing if that's what you want to do on any given day. It certainly won't affect my support if some of your content isn't really "for me", and I suspect/hope that's true of most of your supporters.

Do you think that the land before time movies would have been greatly improved if Charizard was part of the group?

oh I didn’t think it was for things that you could now expense bc you already own them and showed them on video; I thought the intent of the prompt was “things you don’t own but would be able to if you could write them off as a work purchase” or something. Either way the prompt is a bit vaguely worded, isn’t it? 🧐

Peachy Parfait

“Documentaries don’t have cutaways to people sitting in front of a horse desk,” until now! 🐴 We’re pushing the envelope ✊🪂

Shred Cadmium

Ha - there was a Charlotte Hollingsworth who went to my primary school. I bet that’s not you, though. It would be extremely weird, if it was! Her mother was a teacher at the school. We called her ‘Mrs Hollingsworth’, reasonably enough 👩‍🏫

Shred Cadmium

I can’t believe the First Annual Jenny Awards were *last* year; what the hell is time playing at 🗓😟🤷‍♂️

Shred Cadmium

I love the idea of streams, but I actually cant stand livestreams and it makes me feel overwhelmed and I don't really like watching people play video games but the FOMO is awful and I get so worried that everyone I like on YouTube is going to start streaming instead and we'll never get 2 hour long videos from anyone again. So. That's my take.

Charlotte Hollingsworth

BIG PORG! ✊ BIIIG PORRRRG‼️🙌😃

Shred Cadmium

I would love if you did twitch streams between videos!

Sydney Horses

Given the ongoing strong contribution to every recent video from Aragog you could probably pay Aragog a wage, write Aragog’s wages off, and then hold Aragog’s wages in trust until such time as Aragog specifies a disbursement preference ✊🕷💰 :disclaimer: #IANAtaxL

Shred Cadmium

Just my thoughts, but it's best for creators do what they want to do. Speaking as an old red letter media fan, when they first started Best of the Worst, people hated it. They hated Josh and Jack. There were tons of comments of people criticizing and complaining. And now it's a beloved internet staple with millions of views. If they'd kowtowed the early complainers, they wouldn't have continued. So basically, if you want to stream, stream. If you want vlog, or collab, or do make documentaries, or 3 hour long videos about teen dramas, it's all good. You might create something amazing.

run_away

Btw do not worry about learning dutch. Everyone speaks english.

I wonder if it might be possible - though potentially difficult - to swing through Disneyland Paris during your planned Efteling trip to get a bit of B roll footage for possible comparative uses......just a thought. As for Twitch? I still subscribe there, and if you decide to do a stream of sipping on G Fuel and playing Paper Mario or something I am there for it...*BUT* likewise, I also understand if you choose elsewise. Can barely wait for the Evermore video! (insert excited emoticon here)

Carl Sage

I would definitely watch Twitch streams, they were so fun!

I think the true intent of the topic choice was to see more ponies and other fun things like that tbh lol

Hayley Penso

Between the double topics, the Efteling stuff (which I had submitted as a ramble topic in the past), and the Omega Mart mention (which I had planned to submit as a topic in future, possibly even this month, but now that I know it's already been visited I might submit something else instead), this month's ramble's just been win after win.

Shaun Cheah

Now you're thinking of visiting theme parks abroad if you're thinking of going to the UK I would recommend chessington world of adventures! It has a fair few animatronics most of which you can get pretty close to (there's one at the end of a ride called tomb blaster you'd probably especially like) and also there's a restaurant that has trees with faces. It feels very up your street

Fingers crossed for a true honeymoon miracle where you end up there during.

Shaun Cheah

Is there a way to watch twitch streams not live without paying money? I would love to see some twitch streams but I'm from the UK so have never actually managed it

Philippa

So maybe I am alone in this way of thinking (I have not read other comments to find out about my "hot take" actuality. Maybe this take is like cold chucky butter on a piece of white wonder bread) but I really don't think it's our place to say whether or not we have a preference with what you do with your time. The reason I pledge to people on this kind of platform is because of the trust I have for them. Whatever form their work changes into over time, I am here for it. I pledge to YOU, not my expectation of what you do. So whatever you most want to do is what I, and I think all patreon people, can expect you to do. I think it would be weird if I /felt/ normal about saying "Well, I see you want to play video games and talk live with your fans but I think you should stop doing what you are doing and go do something else." like that feels entitled and not in the spirit of platform. So that's my hot (Or potentially creamed turned, back of the fridge, cubed, bread piercing, lifeless, flavorless chuck of cold fat never to be given a CHANCE to spread evenly-) take. <3

The Stjernedals

I know I'm getting old, because this tax stuff is super interesting

run_away

Re: Twitch, I feel like it would depend on how often you streamed! If you were able to twitch stream more frequently than you can put out videos I’m here for it. But if it slows down/hurts your video workflow don’t put too much pressure on yourself!

Liz Marie

As a dutch big fan I'm very excited for you to go to the Efteling! (and have been for a while as you keep talking about it haha) I'd say don't listen to people telling you to not bother to learn a few phrases, it wouldn't be needed of course but I think it would be fun and appreciated! and i would have loved to hear an attempt at it lol One lesser known part that I think you really shouldn't miss is the Efteling Museum where they have a bunch of old Efteling stuff stored away! Sadly it's pretty small. The carrousel is also a very prime "lame" awesome thing to visit but it's big and extravagant enough that you won't miss it. one sucky part of the efteling is that there's still some racially insensitive/racist stuff that they haven't yet cut out of attractions (Monsieur Cannibale/parts of the Carnaval Festival) Horse meat is occasionally but pretty rarely used as generic meat in cheap processed meat foods. Most Dutch people are also not really a fan of it so you probably won't encounter it

Paul Ganzevoort

To echo another commenter... I normally advocate learning some local language, but in the case of NL, it really is a bit of a waste of time. Anybody I've ever tried Dutch on (from McDonald's to hotel staff) has just smiled and responded in English.

Darren Pierce

I would absolutely, 100% LOVE to hang out with you on twitch

Jay Taylor

The Bloom dolls are real! They're made by Witty for the European market; once upon a time, the Witty Winx dolls had their own original face sculpt with cooler face paint (kinda wacky but looked more like the cartoon and they had really cool makeup), but once Jakks Pacific got the American license, Witty switched over to using the same head sculpt and facial screening as them for whatever reason-kinda sad because the previous Witty dolls were some of the coolest lol!

dollsorwhatever

Is it possible for the Owner of the channel to make a playlist? Or are playlists disabled entirely? I understand why the change was made, I'm just gonna miss having these videos on autoplay in the background. I feel like even if it was possible, people could just share the link to that playlist... Why did they have to ruin it for us T_T

ST0RKY

Go team Moderna! I do think some Twitch streams could help break up the periods between videos with some "content." They're a lot of fun, especially when you have your sister with you. Also I hope you are considering doing another spooky video for October. Your October videos are part of my Halloween tradition at this point.

Bryan Sutton

The bicycle infrastructure in NL is magnificent. Rent a bike for grammas and ride it to the theme park.

Jerry Nicholson

Not that into the twitch streams.

So about streams - for me it's not "MEH why aren't you Making Videos??" so much as I would never go watch a live stream. I might watch an archive of a live stream on my own time, but I will not make the time to watch a live anything. That's just not where I'm at. I'm also not on twitch and unlikely to join it. But if you want to stream, then stream! My patreon pennies aren't going anywhere, its just my eyeballs that will miss it.

Natalie Arnold

Do an editing stream. That way it would be guilt free.

Mr. Creosote

I've never been to Efteling (I live in the NL) but I don't think eating horse meat is a thing. Vegetarian meals are usually not difficult to get. You should have some poffertjes they are yummy. Also It's nice that you try to learn some Dutch but it's not necessary, almost everyone speaks English. Dutch railways are really good (although ppl complain a lot about them) and they are one of the best means of transportation around the country. Actually by train you could also easily visit France, Germany or even UK though maybe it's not always the cheapest option BTW a lot of Efteling music is on spotify.

who is counting

The monorails look kinda like TNG shuttlecraft, if you squint.

Stephen Gillie

Oh! And take the train everywhere! Taxi’s are incredibly expensive and the Dutch train services are really really good, the NS app or 9292 are really helpful you can just type in Efteling and it will get you there

If it helps you still didn’t hit bingo because it’s Logan Paul. *cries to self for knowing the difference*

Babs

I don't watch Twitch because my adblockers don't work there, and I refuse to watch ads. And not too big on supporting Amazon. Hashtag not a real gamer for 20 years lol.

Stephen Gillie

Hey :) for Efteling if you go on Weekdays and avoid the Dutch school holidays there will be almost nobody there so don’t worry about crowds. In spring and summer the parks stays open until 22:00, they close all the rides temporarily at 18:00 to scare everyone into leaving but they won’t kick you out of the park so if you just wait a little bit, everything will open and you can stay an extra 4 hours for free :)

I would love to watch your streams! Take a break from editing and chill with us lol!!!

Darleen Shine

Are the twitch streams subscriber only? I'm already a patron so am I supposed to also pay $5 a month on twitch to watch?

Gandheezy

If people judge you for getting the "wrong" vaccine, you live among ridiculous people. They all work. (I didn't even choose mine; I just showed up, and Pfizer was what they had.)

Bullseye

I subbed to you on twitch and I really hope you'll stream more there! Would love more twitch content, especially pokemon because that's my main fandom.

PamperYamper

as a dutch person who has went to the efteling, i promise there's no horse meat! in fact, a couple years ago here there was a scandal about some companies putting horse meat in their minced meats instead of pork and beef, which was a scandal BECAUSE we don't really eat horse meat here. i promise you're safe on that front!

Luna J Hirsch

Efteling has a ride called Droomvlucht (dreamflight) which I've never been on since it always has long lines, so I'd recommend doing that one early in the day.

Just became a patron a few weeks ago, and I'm so glad I did! Just mentioning that the clips you post on Twitter from the Patreon only videos are what really got me to sign up. The pinned post was really helpful and I think I binged about a quarter of the videos the day I signed up. :) I think if you want to stream on Twitch, you should! Don't feel guilty about taking some time away from editing! Sometimes you just need to do something different for a few hours a week.

Cynethryth

if you are ever in France, Parc Asterix is a really fun theme park! You probably get the most out of it if you're familiar with the Asterix books but I've been with people who weren't and still had a great time! It kinda prioritises thrills over dark rides, but the theming is really great

Clara Margot

I forgot to say that yes I can write off travel if the trip is for a video! It didn't even occur to me cause I didn't have travel to write off last tax year lol. But yes flights, food while on the trip (although I think for food there’s some rule where it's only fractionally deducted), Evermore tickets

Jenny Nicholson

I had to go outside for a few minutes midway through the video; it's winter here and now all I can think about is how warm Jenny's big alien hat looks. As a long time Nancy Drew voter I guess it's no surprise I'd welcome further twitch streams. The other day I was reading an old Uncle Scrooge comic where he complains to Donald about his rheumatism, and it reminded me of the Uncle Wiggily board game stream lol.

Rushka Unverricht

Twitch streams are always fun

booo no i hate watching twitch streams. low content, simp fests

I've been reading through the German-language advice for Efteling (It's like an hour from Germany so lots of German families travel there), there doesn't seem to be a lot of hacks online that are different from the kind I've about about for the Disney parks. Mostly: Use the half hour pre-open, download the app for waiting times and the python "boarding pass", etc. The only restaurant I could consistently find recommended was the pancake one (and pancakes are a Dutch thing so that makes sense, otherwise Dutch food is not super famous for anything, except maybe French Fries). Also, I'm sure you know this but literally everyone in the Netherlands speaks English, so speaking some Dutch is nice, but really not necessary for anything. Overall, very excited you'll be going to Efteling!

Andreas Stahl

if you're coming to Europe you should definitely go to 'Puy du Fou'. It's amazing, and completely nuts this park isn't very well known outside of France.

F W Pancakes

I loved your Pokémon snap twitch stream I hope you stream new Pokémon snap! But honestly you could do anything and I’d be excited

+1 for more twitch streams, especially if your sister is there, you two are really funny together.

I love the twitch streams so much I usually watch the VODs which is great cause I can take my time and watch one over the span of a week so it feels like I’m getting lots of content in between the videos

I'd be in favor of more twitch streams. They were a fun way to kill some time.

Steven Clark

if the dead pixel only jumps around very slightly it might have something to do with image stabilization

F W Pancakes

I'd love to see more Twitch streams!

I am def in favor of the occasional twitch stream, if there’s a game that you are interested in playing and talking about. On that note, if you haven’t played Viva Piñata I think you would dig it. It would require an Xbox 360 or kinda complicated PC emulation though, so... meh. 🙃

Lee Vincent

i also have that slime controller and it is so awkward to use lol

Woody Jang

Quick reactions: 1) No one should ever explain to you which Paul is which; 2) I want a slime controller for my Switch now; 3) I liked your previous Twitch streams, though I'm bad at watching Twitch streams at was rarely awake when you streamed; 4) So what I'm hearing is you can/should absolutely write off all those glorious Bibbles; 5) Holy blapp I am excited for the Evermore video, it sounds like a ride and a half; 6) Hey, plush blobfish! Miss that guy! 7) I WISH this is how the Oscars went, I wish someone had said "But don't actually WATCH Green Book;" 8) I am legit jealous of Moderna, I had to get Astra-Zeneca and people get judgy; 9) I promise I care about the Evermore video, I will watch it more than once; 10) This exact content is why I'm happy to be a Patron, it was the best possible video, may you live 1000 years.

Dan Gibbins

I'd love more twitch!

Nicholas Bloom

Yayyy milestones!! Congrats, Jenny!

Oh my god, Efteling. You keep mentioning video topics related to trips I was planning in 2020 which is freaky to me. I was meant to be married in 2020 and our honeymoon was going to be touring castles in Western Europe and ending in Efteling. I'm dying to rebook that trip and definitely will find it funny because we're getting married in 2022 now so I wonder if I'll go there before or after I see your video on it, haha.

SweetAlissum

i liked twitch streams when your sister was around!!!

Blake Norwood

To answer your question, I would love to see some Twitch streams from you.

flynnparadox

More twitch streams would be awesome!!

Jordan C

the people demand sunflower seed scoopers.

Ben Masters

Ha like 5 minutes before you mentioned Efteling I was wondering if you'd been or knew about it! My wife and I stopped there on our honeymoon tour, it was a lot of fun. Hope you enjoy it!

Dane Liergaard

I would be down for video game stuff (I keep voting for that Nancy Drew play through), but I just don’t watch a ton of stuff on Twitch (let alone live). If you were to do that, it would be nice to have those streams archived on YouTube.

Michael

"Please do not take my ficus" "I will not yield the ficus"

Andrew Hill

Having been rewatching classic Simpsons now all I can think is Well, sir, there's nothing on earth Like a genuine, bonafide Electrified, six-car monorail What'd I say?

Matt Reynolds

Twitch streams are great!!! More Jenny is always welcome.

James Peeler

It is still not possible to go to Japan. It's difficult even if you have a visa (I have professional contacts there) plus anti-foreign hate and discrimination is at an all time high. Not to mention abysmal vaccination rates (tied to the anti - foreign stuff) just not a good time and won't be for a while yet. Very sad but seriously don't try to go to Japan.

Natalie Arnold

I would also love more Twitch streams. Really got into them over the Fall and Winter of last year, and I think it's a good return on time investment. I suppose I could be a vocal minority though.

Came here to point out the caffeine free Diet Dr Pepper. It's not easy to find though (even in Texas - the Homeland of Dr Pepper). My poor husband spent many hours going to an out-of-the-way grocery store to get it when I was pregnant.

GiddyGarlic

I don't watch twitch streams I can't make time. I do put vods of twitch streams up in the background so if you wanted to do a twitch stream and then put the vod on like an alt utube channel I'd probably watch it.

James David White

"Waar is mijn ficu?" is Dutch for "Where is my ficus?"

Matthew McCoy

I would love more twitch streams!

Susannah Beckett

Jenny doing a Jake Paul tribute was not on my 2021 bingo card, but definitely on my "Dumb things that would never happen" bingo card. Is this how Jenny felt when she scored one for "Rey Palpatine"?

Pterranodon

Captain Rex!!!!!!!!!!! And EPCOT! The best soda is Dr. Brown's.

Tori

But *surely* a trip to Japan in order to make a video would count as a business expense... ...or Efteling... ...or Broadway shows in NYC... Ask your accountant (or an IRS Enrolled Agent) how many trips per year would be plausible. #YouDeserveIt

Steve Ray

34:18 Well I don't know if they're playing it in theaters at your area but if you haven't seen it yet, you should totally check out Green Knight! Dev Patel, the robot from Ex Machina and the 2 parents from The Witch are in it and they're great. The production design, visuals, cinematography and sound design are fantastic and make the movie totally worth to watch in theaters. I've heard some people had mixed feelings on the ending but idk, I personally really enjoyed it. It's def not a mainstream movie but you know Cruella was basically like a dumb fun bad mainstream movie that I don't remember anything from and don't feel like rewatching lol. I 1know Yhara Zayd, Cosmonaut Variety Hour, Lindsay Ellis' writing partner (Angelina) and most critics recommended Green Knight so that's why I watched it and honestly it's probably my favorite thing that came out this year so far along with the Allen-Farrow HBO doc.

Yoav Fine

The funny thing is I was just thinking "where IS the giant porg? I miss seeing it".

Dan B

Thankfully one salad bar in my town managed to survive the pandemic. Jason’s Deli. Salad bar dressing is the best dressing. Some Sysco brand gallon jug of thousand island. For anyone else who loves sunflower seeds on salad. Try seasoned bread crumbs. Or food process your favorite crouton.

The Bad Guy

I admit, Twitch streams aren't something I'm really interested in... .

Notation

Jenny, they do make caffeine free Diet Dr Pepper! I have definitely bought it when the regular was out of stock. It might be harder to find, but I have definitely been able to find it in large LA grocers (Ralphs, etc.)

Maddy

Seeing you did end up seeing Pig is great Jenny universe continuity.

illves

You are 100% correct about Soup Plantation. I knew it as Sweet Tomatoes in the Midwest but it was a great place. RIP

Jonathan

That was so much fun I needed a pick-me-up after watching Pig :'( OMG Aragog and Giant Porg in the same vid is amazing 10/10! I wish I could be an accountant listening to someone rationalize writing off a giant plush spider. And yes Moderna is the best vaccine on the market get that one if you have a choice!

Luis

They do make Caffeine free Dr. Pepper! https://www.drpepper.com/en/products/drpepper-caffeine-free https://www.drpepper.com/en/products/drpepper-diet-caffeine-free Also you'll be hard pressed to find a native nederlander who doesn't speak English! You'll be fine :)

I really enjoyed your twitch streams before, and would enjoy seeing them again. Also that damn Quagsire is so adorable I ordered one immediately to be friends with my Appa.

Trevor Atwood

I kept getting weirdly distracted by those stuck pixels in the Disney video trying to figure out what was up with them. Hope it ends up being fixable!

illves

Yes I would love more twitch streams!

Michael Metzler

Twitch stream idea: Jenny plays Rollercoaster Tycoon classic and creates Jennyland.

Terence Digan

Efteling is right up your street!! A most funny and charming place

I've had so many things fall down that were hung with command strips. The most recent was a framed poster that had been hanging for a year. Odd what does and doesn't stay

I hate twitch streams and would watch them literally only if I was in some sort of Saw Trap where my life depended on it, but I want you to have fun, Jenny, and it sounds like they are, so you should do more.

Em

the daikon snow globe is adorable!! i'm going to omega mart on sept i hope they still have those!

Mighties

I think Twitch streaming would be fun if you want to do it

puhtahtoe

Well Paul is a giant so maybe it is the correct size.

Tony M Parker

oh no the Youtuber you're talking about getting audited was Onision lmaooo

Francesca White

Twitch streams are always appreciated!

Eric MacMillan

I am delighted that you have been spared the knowledge of which Paul brother is which, tbh. If only I could go back two years and have the same innocence…but I’m now subscribed to way too many commentary YouTubers and the damage has been done.

Chelsea Clark

I would love more twitch streams in between videos!!

Max Nink

Honestly... the fact that you talked for several minutes about the concept of writing off plush animals is **EXACTLY** the reason why I'm here! 😂

Theme Park Review

She said before that she did that on purpose because it was the only way to make it so people couldn't add them to public playlists, to keep them Patreon exclusive

Casper Hope-Tindall

You can write off things that appear in a video??? What a lifehack (edit: lol kk watched the video nvm)

Between this and the Jenny's choice that ended up my little ponies I feel like these are being made for me 🤣

Casper Hope-Tindall

Hey, you listed this as "for kids" which means I can't list it to Watch Later. Can you turn that off? Thanks!
