This is quite old, but to clear up some confusion: the "double" tax referred to by commentators isn't really a "double" tax, but rather a full payment of the social security and medicare tax deductions that, normally, an employer would typically pay half of. The full amount someone like Jenny, as self-employed, would presumably pay is just north of 15%, which would cover SS and Medicare tax obligations. The "double" income tax--seperate taxes, is really applicable to most earners in the US considering only 9 states don't tax income, but federal income tax applies to all of us. There really isn't some illusive tax code that places an unfair tax burden on the self-employed. Whether someone owns a store, or is a free-lancer, tax write-offs are mostly an issue of how much of the standard tax burden you wouldn't normally have to pay.

They've actually become a pest because of this and the government has to regularly cull or neuter them to protect the ecosystem, the wikipedia page Brumby has more information but one part of it is that they eat a lot of plants and this can mean there's not enough food for wallabies or native birds

I know this is an older video so Jenny's burn is certainly better by now, but I never miss a chance to pass along a tip from my nurse friend because it could help someone. if you have a *minor* burn (no blistering, no open wound) you can put mustard on it and it will stop hurting quickly and you can just gently rinse it off after it air-dries. it sounds ridiculous but I've used this tip multiple times and it really helps. to reiterate, this is only for MINOR burns. do not put mustard on an open wound or a blister!

I recently started a project where I read all of my friend’s childhood horse books and judging from the consistently bad writing and poor editing I would not be shocked to learn all of them are vanity projects as well. Racehorse movies typically have strangely little bonding with the horse and are barely even horse movies letalone horse girl movies. Like the horse symbolizes their underdog story but they don't care about it beyond that. Esp weird in "Dreamer" feat Dakota Fanning, which was marketed as a horse girl movie but definitely wasn't. There's even a scene where her she gets scolded for trying to hang out with the horse because racehorses aren't pets (and it's narratively framed as true)

RE: 1 - when you're self employed, you pay double tax, more or less, because you pay what normal people pay, plus the employer side. The details vary by jurisdiction and job type but that's a good approximation. Also, taxes for self employment often assume everyone owns like, a physical store or equipment or something like that, which means when you don't (like say, a youtuber) you end up with that double tax but not the writeoff that "normal" employers have. X-X

The dancing horse girl scene is especially weird because either that's a different girl doubling for her or the filmmakers are too incompetent to light a person's face. So, assuming it was a double, they thought it was so important for the character to release her anger through dance that they used a double to get around the fact that their lead actress couldn't dance, and then the double doesn't seem to be all that good at dancing, either. That's a lot of weird choices stacked up on each other.

If you only consider Episode IV and not the rest of the original trilogy, you could almost think of Han as the horse to Luke's Horse Boy Energy. It was, after all, Luke that Han saved at the end (he didn't turn up to get Leia off Yavin 4 or the like) and you could definitely read his change of heart as Luke's idealism rubbing off on him as easily as it coming from romantic interest in Leia.
