So someone on twitter mentioned dany as an apologizing youtuber and after last night's episode I wanted to make it happen.

This wasn't planned and as you can tell by when the ep it's referring to went out, I just made it in the day it would still be relevant, so that's the only reason this one didn't get a preview! Its production timeline was just like a 4 hour turnaround.

My other longer (planned) videos are still in progress.

Oh and GoT spoilers of course!

GRRM loves misdirection, ambiguity, and writing stories that make sense the second or third time you read them, so I think this ending is very true to the author's intent, or at least to his style.

I did wonder about the Dothraki but I assumed some had either survived or been off guarding ships or something. It could have been made clearer. The Children of the Forest story was definitely in the background but also could also have been made clearer, with at least some reference to them in Jon's journey north of the Wall. But I thought it general it came together well. I was surprised to see that some people were unhappy that Daenerys didn't become Queen but it's been obvious since the beginning that she was unstable and becoming more and more her father's daughter and that any future under her would be a dystopian nightmare. And Jon had to be the one to kill her. Maybe Tyrion or Varys. Who else was going to kill someone with am enormous great dragon backing her up? I've even seen some suggestion that the fact that Jon killed her was misogynistic - but then I think people would have complained about Joffrey or Theon's treatment for the same reason had they been a girl and a man, unwittingly narrowing the potential storylines for female characters.

Bran the Broken is the kindest, warmest, bravest, most-wonderful human being I've ever known in my life. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OIiOXff8A5Y

Steve Ray

The entire thing *was* Children of the Forest -- they sent mysterious dreams to Bran so he'd head north and visit their Magic Brainwashing Tree, and after that, his old personality was *gone*...and instead he talks about being Not-Bran, and does little things that make humans on Westeros become dead....the exact purpose the Night King had been created for...weird how Bran and the Night King never actually *fought*....they just agreed to meet in the garden.

Steve Ray

Your take is definitely an outlier. It was pretty awful. Episode 2 was the best episode of that season. Arya's ending makes basically no sense, Greyworm's actions make basically no sense, where do all the Dothraki keep coming from, why the heck would the Lords of Westeros agree to Bran as king when they don't even know who he is, why would Sansa want to secede when her own brother is the dang king, why would the Iron Isles and Dorne not also want independence, why is Bronn the master of coin when a few seasons ago he didn't even know what a loan was (also as much as I enjoyed the character in past seasons, his interruptions in the final episode were trash, "the strong live the weak die" what the heck was that)... I could go on.

It's ok. The first step to an redemption arc is to say your sorry. (tip to Kylo)

I’m Dany. I’m Dany. I’m Dany. I am Dany.

You already got to see the world burn with the original version.

Steve Ray

There's a petition now to get HBO to remake season 8. And, you know what? I signed it. Not because I want it to happen, but because sometimes, I just want to watch the world burn.

Greg McDaniel

I haven't watched GOT but I got and enjoyed your parody. My favorite lines were "he's a pile of ash now" and "everyone that I disappointed or incinerated". : )

I'm all up-to-date on "GoT" but not on YouTube apology videos, so I had to Google that part afterwards... even so, there were plenty solid jokes in there that anyone could appreciate ("Mistakes/stakes" being one of many standouts)... and your close-to-tears-acting was totally on-point. I felt genuinely concerned/sad for your fictional parody character in those moments, so kudos for the pathos!

Dee Crosier

Look, there's no way she could've known peasants were that flammable.

Greg McDaniel

I keep seeing the thumbnail and thinking it's a Poppy video.

Alex Butler

Guys, remind me to watch this when I get caught up on the new season.

Dillon Enarson

Have you read "And Seven Times Never Kill Man!"? Or "Men of Greywater Station"? Let *those* inform your potential predictions...

Steve Ray

The yellow bars for the ads. 🤣🤣🤣🤣

this video immediately garnered 7 academy awards for hair

Boartails

I read the books years before the show came out, same with LoTR. This has nothing to do with the video but I make sure I force it into conversation now and then.

This is art -- loved it!

Dark_Roast

I stopped watching Game Of Thrones when Sean Bean died (I don't even know who Veris is), but this was amusing. "... making mistakes ... and burning people *at* stakes ..." "... disappointed, or incinerated...".

This needs to be on your YouTube channel!
