Even in the comic books, it was a rare treat for Sabrina to make a guest appearance in any Riverdale story, and vice-versa, but they were definitely in a shared universe.

I know. I was just kind of hoping for a miracle. "Don't you wish there were a knob on the TV to turn up the intelligence? There's one marked 'brightness' but it doesn't work." - Gallagher

What did you expect from something that's a reboot AND a netflix original

Oh, cool!

Almost - they throw "midnight dust" onto the campfire before every scary story... which I learned was actually non-dairy creamer when I googled it just now.

Do they really throw glitter at each other?

They mentioned Riverdale as a neighboring town. In the three episodes I watched, there was no character crossover. The show relies heavily on satanic lore and ritual. I can't imagine it on regular prime time television.

I only read the first issue or two of the comic, and never could get into Riverdale, so I'm thinking this show probably isn't for me either. But I've gotta know, is it in the Riverdale Universe?

Thank you, Jenny, for throwing all that glitter! I had completely forgotten the "Midnight Society" part of Are You Afraid of the Dark?, and this brought it all back and gave me a nice burst of nostalgia!

I take that back. I got through three episodes and decided to bag it. It's basically Riverdale set to a horror theme.

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on Netflix seems like it may be a show Jenny would like.

It's the best, right? I always wanted friends like that, to go on adventures.

Monster Squad was the best. Whenever I have something tough to do I always silently whisper. “I’m in the goddamn club, aren’t I”

I actually saw Monster Squad in the theater when it first was released. Actually kinda freaked me out as a kid... and of course, Wolfman did, in fact, have nards 😀

Didn't they shelve that whole project?

The audio is a little weird for me. A low humming droning noise. Otherwise the title of the video is great

Halloween isn't really a thing in my country, but I was exposed to it by American media. For some reason I specifically remember a Halloween episode of Roseanne, where the dad plays a prank on the kids by pretending to get his hand stuck in the garbage disposal and spraying fake blood everywhere.

Woah, that episode got really intense there at the end. I was almost wanting the kids to get killed in the beginning when they were moving in (what jerks!), but they stopped throwing out one-liners and the feeling passed.
Any chance of getting those top ten episodes here in the comments, Jenny?

Spooky things are great. The first time I visited Disney World I was about six or so, and at the end of the Haunted Mansion, when the Ghost Host offers you a place among the happy haunts I was 100% down for that.

Jenny, out of curiosity, when you engage in your Halloween tradition do you personally play through Escape from Horrorland via emulation or do you watch a longplay of it?

I love this video! I’m 38 and Ghoul School was my childhood. I had completely forgotten about it. I am genuinely surprised the Disney Legend of Sleepy Hollow cartoon did not make the list.

Oh man, I love the Haunting Hour tv show. I better check out that....oh.
But it does bug me that there is no way to access the complete series.
