A Professional Shot for Big Media

This is an image I did for an international dating site in Florida. It was later licensed for media distribution (like a stock image) and used as a book cover and has since been used in articles in the Daily Mail (second image), the Telegraph, and other media outlets in the US and Europe.

The original commission from FL was to create a 'Russian mail order bride' shot (back when that was a thing - before that industry centered on Ukraine). Hence I am climbing out of a 'Made in Russia' box with packaging chips on the floor. Maybe I arrived with UPS.......

The clothes are all my own, and I was wearing hold-up stockings here, but the final shot they chose didn't show that (and I never got the unused or BTS shots, unfortunately - or if I did, I can't find them). It was done by a well-known male professional media photographer in Warrington, whom I have done other work with since.

At the last minute, they called to say they had found a suitable box, but had none of the packing chips the brief asked for, so could I grab a huge bag of them from Staples on my way there? So I was 30 minutes late (I never got my £10 back either). They were planning to Photoshop in a Russian passport, but as I had one anyway, I brought it along - so no Photoshop was needed.

We finished late. I was hungry. So I went out for the evening, still in this outfit, in Manchester with my husband after the shoot. He quite liked that as you might imagine!
