This month in videos, plus feedback

Since this month has been really slow in updates to my channel, and since the 5-and-up donors are supposed to get channel info anyway, I thought I'd let you all know what's up with video progress.

Since I have two jobs now I haven't had like a day where I wasn't working all month, which kind of sucks. (Everything in my new apartment is still in boxes, it is like unchanged from the last video whoops.) I have several videos fully outlined, I'm basically ready to just sit down and shoot but keep like, working and then sleeping. The videos are:

1) A 13 Reasons Why video, which I worry will just like make people sad and angry and isn't that funny, just like strengths and weaknesses of the show. That show feels a little too untouchable because of the subject matter. And my notes are really long so it would probably take forever to edit anyway.

2) A satirical disney video, not a satire of disney but like a satire of videos people make about disneyland. But I don't really know where the line is drawn. I still don't know if it's kosher to talk about it at all while working there. I think it's funny though.

3) Three more star wars story ideas. Three because they're more brief than the last one which I put in its own whole video.

4) I did in fact have all the notes completed for a Beauty and the Beast remake review but I dawdled so much making it like who cares about my opinion on that movie in April

So yeah, I'm sharing this because I'm kind of curious which ones interest you guys the most. As you can see there are reasons not to do like most of these, haha. I think #3 is the most likely to be my next video.

Do whatever you want, find interesting & can actually finish. You haven't post anything on your channel for quite some time ( apart from that ep8 teaser .

Howl's Moving Castle is my favorite of his. Good book too

I actually had 90% of a Passengers video planned out, but got bored and never finished watching Passengers. I worried the parts I didn't watch would undermine the stuff I'd already written and was also too bored of Passengers to just finish watching it Can you tell I didn't like passengers

Jenny Nicholson

I'd love to see 2, but I don't want you to lose your job, so I'll go 3.

Scott McCann

ranking the options in terms of my interest. 1, 4, 2, 3

John

I'll vote for #3. Number 2 is the one I really want but it's too risky on your end.

Ello Asty

#2! Or #3. I thought maybe #4, but to be honest I haven't even gone and seen the movie yet. Are you a fan of Hayao Miyazaki? I'm curious of your thoughts on his films.

Dustin Collins

I would love 4, but 3 and 1 are also great!

Aaron Yi

I just rolled a dice and the dice said 4, so.....4!

re: #1 You and RedLetterMedia are my two favorites when it comes to media analysis. I haven't watched any of 13 Reasons yet so it's not a priority for me but I am curious about your thoughts. #2 is one that you can probably keep in your back pocket (maybe have it banked for when your in a real time crunch in the next few months) #3 is fine with me your last Star Wars story was really funny. Perhaps #4 can be used for the home video release in a few months. Also, I'm really enjoying Millenial Falcon.

#1 I had to google 13 Reasons Why to find out that it's about suicide and stuff. I want to say that, as far as I'm concerned at least, you don't have to be funny all the time. I like your critiques mostly for how you dig into characters' minds, analyze them and describe how they could be more realistic. I don't remember laughing from the Split video but I very much enjoyed it, so you could say I mostly like the psycho Jenny (That sounds wrong somehow but whatever). Anyway, suicide being such a taboo and uncomfortable subject for most people may be good business for therapists but it seriously isolates suicidal people, especially men who are expected to be tough all the time. You got 100k subs now, mostly male too, so you can be sure a lot of them have considered it and who knows how many still are? It's a PR gamble considering how young your success is, but my bet goes on most of your viewers appreciating a simple "Hey we can talk about suicide. It's fine." and if by some miracle it makes more people angry than your critique of Rogue One did, well those angry people can go buy some apples.

Abel Cassius

I like #1 just for something different

Rey Bravo

Having just finished 13 reasons why a couple of days ago, I'd be most interested in that. And I would still like to hear your take on the live action B&B regardless how far it is from release date.

#1 and #4 sound good! Who cares if the movie was in April? Your take will be more thoughtful than everyone who raced to get a video out that same week. And did you ever see Passengers? Or Logan?

Spike

1, 2, 3, and 4.

#1 seems solid. With the Screen junkies stuff you are doing I'm surprised you don't feel a little burned out on doing Star Wars content. Plus, you are putting out a pretty large amount of Star Wars content. You're not a one trick pony. Other videos you had done were fun to watch. How you connected Finding Dory and 50 Shades was crazy and brilliant.

I'd like #4. Beauty and the Beast has such weird abusive relationship undertones that I'm curious as to you take on it, since you're reviews of movies tend to fall in line with mine. Which is why they're so funny.

"Tu, was du wilst", as the Auryn says.

Space Cadet

Maybe finish Iron Fist when you have the time and review that?

I'm interested in all of them! Especially your views on 13 Reasons Why and the new Beauty and the Beast

#4 would be interesting even though it's late

Austin Hughes

I really love your Star Wars Story video; not just because it's Star Wars, but because storytelling seems like a great vehicle for your creativity and humor. So.... anything along those lines. #3. If I had to pick a #2 I'd say #2. I'm not a lawyer, but what's the worst that could happen? They banish you from all theme parks forEVER? And your children? And your children's children? ...for six months?
