v0.26.1 Game Status
Added 2019-03-01 01:15:53 +0000 UTCEvening all, time for our second monthly update! This release is a little light on content but heavy on code - the issue I've been discussing for the past month and a half or so with managing cross-scene GUIs should now, hopefully, be handled. If everything's working properly, you shouldn't really notice anything's changed, but there were a lot of buttons and functions to redirect. So if anything's not working as expected, please let me know! There are also some bug fixes, and hopefully I fixed more than I broke this month. With this out of the way, next month I should finally be back on track with working on Exploration Missions.
I also added in a new Random Encounter for you all, a nice big group scene. I did get in some artwork in the past day or so, but not quite in time to make it into the release, so I can promise some more Director action for you in the next round. The monthly bonus chapter will be coming later tonight, I apologize for the delay as our usual author is unavailable this month. And speaking of delays, Patreon sent out a notice recently saying they expect payments to take several days again this month. From this, I'll be delaying the next free release to probably Monday, as I don't want there to be any confusion as to what month people are being charged for when I point them to the project. I will be doing the monthly status post sooner than that though, so keep an eye out this weekend.
So, patch notes below, game links to follow. Thanks for your support!
v0.26.1 Change Log
Game Functions:
- Options, Gallery, Overseer Selection, and Credits panels have been transferred to a new system allowing usage on multiple scenes/levels. This should have no effect on apparent usage but required a lot of code movement and rewiring of buttons - please report anything not working as expected.
Scene Content:
- 'Support Group' Random Encounter scene added (no unlock requirements)
Art Content:
- None
Codex Entries:
- None
Bug Fixes:
- 'Back' button on CG galleries now remains on the 2nd page
- In the unlikely event of a save file being transferred between a Windows 32 and Windows 64 system, the flag for TTS access should now be updated on load
- Main dialogue screen scrollbar sensitivity increased
Known Issues:
- TTS dialogue cannot be interrupted once begun. May have issues if triggered on multiple screens at once. TTS support is 64-bit Windows only.
- WebGL Issues: Be warned that save game data in WebGL mode is less permanent than PC standalone. May also be more prone to memory and other issues.
