Making a Bossa Nova Song

I was not expecting to get this excited over my first attempt, but things just meshed together so well in my head (at least...I think). I regret not checking out this genre sooner! I can't wait to explore different styles in the near future. I want to be able to write in as many styles as I can. It'll help me develop my own original styles, which is great, because that I get to show you all! I hope you enjoyed this one as much as I did!

It's a fundamental of game design. You show them something useful and then when they get one of their own, they feel that they've been rewarded for their work and patience. Another use of it is to get on the boat for a pre-determined destination, but somebody there is like "I heard there's a legendary super badass boat out there somewhere." and the player knows that some day it'll be THEIR super badass boat. The more advanced version is to put something noteworthy in the distance (works best for 3D but there's ways to make it work in 2D) so the player's like "Ooooh! I wanna see that up close!"

Y'know...I've never heard anyone bring up this specific trope, but this is so damn accurate. I love it when they give some sort of "trial upgrade"

Also known as "RPG town where you board a boat, but not the one where you get YOUR boat."
