Another thought about the Gifford shooting. I think that was the first event I heard someone call a hoax, and I think it was Ed Chiarini aka Dallas Goldbug, on the website wellaware1, (I always think of the name Dallas Goldbug when I see or hear the name Mencious Moldbug). Ed's whole schtick is that all major events are fake/hoaxes and many famous people are playing multiple roles, for instance Jimmy Carter is actually JFK, Dali and Disney were the same people etc. I think he went to jail at one point for meth, but it looks like he's back full force. We had about a 10 minute conversation & I told him about a recent shooting at my dad's church in TX that Ole' Dammegard was promoting as a hoax. He said he regretted working with Ed, but that he liked Ole', but also that a lot of people in their circles didn't.

Jimmy Cauty is still working but more on visual arts type experiences, like miniature dystopias you view through holes in a shipping container or funnily enough given the conversation riot shields with acid smiley faces on them.
