We start with a close reading of epic TV showrunner David Simon’s recent anti-Irish, anti-mook screeds about DA MUFTI and other Zionist tropes concerning the Mandate period, followed by some theoretical framing from “A Discourse on Domination in Mandate Palestine: Imperialism, Property and Insurgency” by Zeina Ghandour, the problem of epistemicide, Pete Shambrook’s “Policy of Deceit”, British perfidy and gaslight diplomacy towards Faisal and the Arabs after World War One, sus Woodrow Wilson’s Fourteen Points (attempt to outflank Lenin), clever manipulation of antiquities laws to slander/erase the legacy of Ottoman rule, the Jewish Agency's COINTELPRO/Mockingbird-tier espionage activities, and more.

2024-09-22 02:21:33 +0000 UTCHey Dmitri - why did you describe that screed by David Simon as exemplifying “twin British obsessions” when it’s literally just a rant by an American Jew giving cover for the genocide of Palestinians by Jews? He never even mentioned (which you acknowledge about 20 min later) Britain or the British! Why are you both so afraid to just let Jewish behavior be judged on its own merit instead of always associating it to another ethnic group that’s “acceptable” to criticize? I’ve greatly enjoyed the series regardless.
