Plans for this week and next
Added 2018-06-21 07:55:18 +0000 UTCWe're finally getting back to some How-To's, and they definitely have more of a refreshing feel to them! I started changing up the way I structure and write my originals to get something a little...new (but still familiar). Maybe it'll be too subtle to notice, or maybe it'll be a nice change to the How-To series in the future.
This week, I looked my huge list of suggestions and "Massive Beast Battle Theme" caught my eye. Maybe because I had the Zelda series and Shadow of the Colossus on the mind, but I was definitely motivated to take it on. You guys will be getting a sample soon. Two versions actually! The one going on youtube will be a version with drums and guitars (because I wanted to make a guitar version and because this one would probably vibe better with the viewers). The original is all orchestra with heavy (but slow) percussion. You guys will be the only ones getting it (for now, at least)
After that, I have a few more originals in mind. I'm not sure what genre they fall under, but they're all in an exciting new groovy style that I'm working on. I realized that I never really did much with bass, so by starting with a groovy/complex bass riff, I have different options/limitations for guitar riffs. It's working out quite nicely and I can't wait to show you guys some stuff in the future!
Other than that, I have some covers planned to follow E3 hype, a long overdue Q&A video (as well as a studio/gear video), this month's tabs, and some other dumb experiments. I hope you look forward to it!
