Plans for this week + Updates (Looking for opinions on new video title!)
Added 2017-10-11 09:09:12 +0000 UTCHey all! As I said in my last post, I've been working hard to put myself a few weeks ahead of time. It's been going well so far! Hopefully the workflow can stay that way. For this week, I'm taking on another music challenge. I gotta say, I had a LOT of fun with this one. I pretty much picked it up immediately with a clear mind and went for it. Someone wanted me to make a metal song that would sound the exact same in melody when played backwards. You'll be receiving a download tomorrow. I'm probably going to show how it was done in the video as well (after the song) but essentially, every single riff can be taken individually and sound the same backwards. if you put them all together into one song, the entire things works backwards as well. I suppose that's kind of obvious, but making it with a palindrome format in mind was quite a challenge when it came to making a good sounding melody!
As for the opinion I need from you guys... Making a title for this one is tough. I want to know what would honestly interest you more if you saw this video randomly on youtube.
"BACKWARDS METAL"
"Making a metal song that sounds the same backwards"
"REVERSE METAL"
or a mix of both, like:
"BACKWARDS METAL - A metal song that sounds the same backwards"
For context, the challenge will be shown, I'll play the song like normal, and then reverse it halfway through.
As funny as it sounds, youtube doesn't really favor me, even at this size. With algorithm changes and with school starting back, it makes it a LOT harder to grow. My recent views and sub growth has been reflecting that. So good titles are very important! I have a basic idea of what I want, but an opinion from you guys is always important to me.
That was a mouthful, but I hope you guys look forward to everything coming!
P.S - Tabs (+ tab dropbox) will be coming soon for both folk metal AND the acoustic metal song! I'll finally be able to finish the how-to album as well once I get all of these videos done.
Comments
Or "Do geese see god". Can sentences count as a palindrome? That's a good point! I actually decided to go with reverse metal after reading this comment and the one below it. Thanks, man! I hope you enjoy the video when it drops on saturday!

2017-10-13 09:24:08 +0000 UTCI liked "PALINDROME METAL" as well (plus it's the most correct in context). But it seems like people are less likely to understand the word and have it catch their eye. Depending on the viewership, there's always a chance that I can change it!

2017-10-13 09:22:38 +0000 UTCI personally loved the idea of PALINDROME METAL from the Discord, but I'm also a fan of REVERSE METAL.

2017-10-11 20:14:23 +0000 UTCA palindrome is a word, phrase, number, or other sequence of characters which reads the same backward as forward, such as: racecar, sexes, civic, ma'am, terret, tacocat, deed, eye, deified, bib, poop, and rotator. I like REVERSE METAL which can be interpret back to back in either direction. BACKWARDS METAL sounds like it's one way back.
