2026-02-15 01:12:39 +0000 UTCI kind of agree with the music thing. It does clash with the tone a bit, imo.

2026-02-14 15:26:41 +0000 UTCyou knw something that i noticed. there is no love among anyone in the Zenin clan. the most they got is admiration. cuz Naoya isnt just Mysogenistic, he blatanly hates his own brothers, he insults both ogi his uncle along with his cousins Maki and mai, he also insults Jiinichi his 2nd cousin i believe, who just so happens to be Toji's brother who HE happes to want to kill his own Nephew megumi despite having tons of upside being the inheriter of the 10 Shadows technique the zenin exclusive technique. not mention Naoya didnt give a fuck about his own father and uncle's death while crackin jokes. even the kokuru unit is evidence, they are young men who are obligated to make themselves useful by learning martial arts day and night and their leader also didnt seem to give a damn that an elder was murked too, bro treated it like it was a regular tuesday, the overall mysoginy against the women is a given but unless you're the ideal, even as a dude you get hoed in the Zenin clan. this clan is quite literally built to fail.

2026-02-12 12:37:31 +0000 UTCHi, since no one has mention it here’s some context I think you might be interested in. The Japanese audience actually disliked this episode, to be more specific the way the studio adapted it. Their main critisism was that the Kill Bill reference overtook the tone of the scene and the original message was lost. They also said that the music did not fit the tone of the scene, that they adapted certain panels badly, Maki’s characterisation was wrong, that this whole segment was suppossed to be more of a tragedy than an epic scene. It got to the point that they acussed the West and the studio for priorizing figths and aura over narrative. Personally I agree with some of their points although the whole thing is a little overblown, but if you reed the manga there’s certainly a different feeling of this arc. There this whole situation is played as Maki being forced to exterminate her family for the greater good even though is impossible for everyone in the clan to be evil. Finally there is little debate in the fandom regarding the Zennin clan, whether or not Maki killed the whole clan, since it is never stated who survived but since Mai said “everything” people debate if Maki killed the children and women too. There is no evidence to proof anything but they keep repeating that the whole clan died so maybe it is true. Sorry if there are gramar or spelling mistakes, english is not my main language.

2026-02-11 06:52:37 +0000 UTCJust correcting, Maki absolutely can sense cursed energy and see it now. They noted this with Toji and it seems to be a side effect of perfect Heavenly Restriction, it was one of the reasons Tsukumo Yuki was interested in studying him. It's the ideal in the conventional sorcerers mind, superhuman strength with no cursed energy, fighting on the level of Sorcerers and great cursed spirits. All the power with none of the cursed energy production.

2026-02-09 21:13:56 +0000 UTCMaki's fight 16:10 is like the movie Kill Bill, I've not watched it much but I was told it's more or less from that. If y'all didn't know!

2026-02-09 21:03:19 +0000 UTCI think I now understand the scene with the mother when Maki says "why tell me to come back?" I think it's because Mai and Maki are effectively one person now and I think the mother told Mai to return but not Maki. But now that some of their memories are jumbled together i think that was alittle bit of Mai leaking through. Also it also seems Maki might have gained a tiny bit of cursed energy detection. When the mohawk man did the giant rock hands she seemed to be kinda aware of it when he was charging up. But being that she's also close to if not on Toji's level her senses might have just been heightened that she noticed something was up right at the point the earth started to move.

2026-02-07 09:32:43 +0000 UTCNaobito was only cool with Toji because Megumi was born with the 10S. He also forced Mai to become a sorcerer against her will to get back at Maki for leaving the clan. The only difference I see between Naobito and Naoya is that the former had a filter.

2026-02-07 02:03:44 +0000 UTCAfter the absolutely HORRIFIC things we saw happen to Arnheid at the hands of Ketil in this week's Vinland Saga episode, Maki laying out Naoya and the rest felt ULTRA satisfying. 😌

2026-02-07 01:45:21 +0000 UTCYeah, the Split Soul Katana. The original was probably destroyed when the worm curse that stored it was exorcized by Yuta's love bomb in 0.

2026-02-07 01:15:55 +0000 UTCIt’s crazy because once you see the rest of the clan you realize Naobito was the forward thinking progressive one (compared to everyone else).

2026-02-06 23:47:42 +0000 UTCI mean he DID beat him before he 1 in a million clutched up, I thought by extension Sukuna might be cooked since Gojo so handily beat him, but that was 1 finger sukuna, whole different ballgame now

2026-02-06 23:38:35 +0000 UTCSeeing Maki’s mom be Naoya’s assistant and literally tie his shoes for him 3 episodes ago made it so much more satisfying for her to be the one who finally ends him. We only see her act freely in her dying moments, and she uses that little time just to target and kill naoya “pillow hands” zenin not only because she had to hear him talk due to forced proximity in the same household, but because she directly served him for who knows how long and he also probably stinks like shit. 4 maki punch freeze frames wasn’t nearly enough, rest in piss fraud🕊️✌️

2026-02-06 23:30:41 +0000 UTCMai and Maki's mother is a very intersting and very tragic figure when it comees to the depiction of abuse: The Victim that becomes the perpetrator. If wee stay on topic with something like this, deeply ingrained mysoginy, in communities where that is the norm, it is often the women who police each other more than the men. Because not doing so would A) always backfire on the entire "group" i.e. the other women get punished more for the transgression of one. B) It can give you a scapegoat, call the other woman a slut loud enough and no one will queation what you have been doing. C) If you let this one woman escape and she actually becomes happier, then what have you been doing all your life? Why have you endured so much? What was it all for? Many Victims can't take the prospect that there might have been a way out that they didn't take, so they'd rather destroy anything that'll prove them wrong. Maki injured her mother fataly and in that moment, freed her. And her last act was to kill a man who had used and abused both her and her daughter, saying she was proud of Maki. But this change of heart was only possible because she no longer had any consequences she could face.

2026-02-06 23:18:54 +0000 UTCI feel like Naobito was the coolest with Toji from what we saw last season. He also didn't seem super hateful towards Maki when they were in Shibuya.

2026-02-06 23:11:44 +0000 UTCNot sure if anyone brought it up, but this episode was massively based on Kill Bill: Volume 1. Normally, the Jujutsu Kaisen logo is red every episode, but in this episode, they went with yellow. The fight in that open room where Maki killed all of those grunts, is completely referencing the massacre that the Bride does there. From the choreography to the scene cuts and the music. Then the fight with Noaya is also based on the final fight of the movie, with the music too. Brilliant episode all around

2026-02-06 22:51:41 +0000 UTCThe Zenin clan definitely deserved what they got but it's actually kinda crazy how much versatility they had in terms of abilities. If Gojo Clan wasn't carried by Gojo, the Zenin clan would definitely be at the top coz they got too many abilities. Projection sorcery, Heavenly restrictions (Might not be hereditary but they're 2 for 2), Ten shadows technique, Bombs for punches (Idk the name of the ability), Earth bending, etc. This also made me realize that a true Grade 1 sorcerer is pretty powerful. I wonder how less bad the Shibuya Incident might have been if The Hei and Naoya joined the fight.

2026-02-06 22:18:32 +0000 UTCYou know, back in the JJK 0 movie when Maki was telling Yuta about her dream of returning home and obliterating the Zenin clan, this is NOT what I was expecting. 😳

2026-02-06 21:24:42 +0000 UTCLove you guys reaction!! Toji was a beast but nah he would have stood no chance against Sukuna since he couldn’t even beat a younger Gojo

2026-02-06 21:16:44 +0000 UTCThe beautiful irony of Naoya being a misogynistic bozo, and being terrible at beating women is top notch
David Garcia
2026-02-06 21:07:17 +0000 UTCAgree. I think they think he can is because Toji was able to beat an unawakened Gojo. Gojo was still young and inexperienced with this technique he was also a student at jujutsu high back then

2026-02-06 21:06:40 +0000 UTCi like how toji spared the clan for megumi to be the clan master and he and maki indirectly avenged him

2026-02-06 20:58:53 +0000 UTCIdk if you picked up on this but maki planned her movements split into 24fps and predicted exactly where Naoya would attack from
Wolffe5989
2026-02-06 20:57:39 +0000 UTCso this is something that alot of the fan base get wrong. toji can not beat sukuna. when megumi said that toji was likely faster then sukuna, he only saw 4 finger sukuna up to that point. toji and now maki might be able to beat a 4 to 5 finger sukuna but they would never be able to beat 15 finger sukuna.

2026-02-06 20:54:04 +0000 UTCRemember that shot of Mikasa in Attack on Titan season four, with blood raining on her after the effortlessly killing several Yeagerists? That was the kind of energy Maki was giving off this ENTIRE episode. 🥶

2026-02-06 20:37:35 +0000 UTCNaoya changed how I looked at projection sorcery, originally I thought it was a neat power not crazy strong, gives some speed and a stunning effect on opponents. But it gets insane when there isn’t a limit to the acceleration granted by multiple uses, he was charging up an infinite mass punch at the end like the flash 😂

2026-02-06 20:22:01 +0000 UTC8:27 fun fact, that’s the very same pit they threw Toji (Megumi’s dad) in when he was a child, hoping the curses would kill him. Toji left with the scar on his lip. It seems the Zen’in never learn. Also, Maki gave Ogi the Kenjaku haircut.
