DnD is pretty stereotypical when it comes to species though; orcs being green, hobgoblins being red, and bugbears usually brown fur. Critical Role usually subverts those expectations and breaks the norms for PC/npcs

I didn't like vox machina, I really tried and watched season 1 but I just found the comedy corny and just didn't like the characters that much. The plot wasnt bad and I really loved the voice acting tho so I have hope for MN.

Though I'd recommend looking at some of the shots on your own unobstructed because the background art is so dang pretty in this show! The cityscapes especially are stunning

2026-01-28 00:09:11 +0000 UTCThat's what the spell components are in DnD, bat guano and phosphorus for certain fire spells. I learned from Dr. Stone (lol) that guano is a huge source of natural nitrogen and as such historically was farmed for gunpowder production

I’d rather they have a story of either finding acceptance within their own community, or get recognition as they are from the society at large.

These are the mages that attacked Anna Ripley's village in her back story in season the of VM. If you watch closely in that episode, you briefly see Trent Ikithon.

Barbarian, voiced by Ashley (Pike) The campaign technically started at Level 2, as each member had an unstreamed session 0 with Matt at Level 1. This episode's events (Beau starting her investigation, Nott and Caleb meeting) was all pre-Stream, so they're Lvl 1 here. IMPORTANT: Time passes without much comment in the show. It takes days or even weeks to get between locations. So Caleb and Nott will have known each other for a while compared to the other party members by the time they gather.
