2025-11-26 18:51:48 +0000 UTCthe mangaka, makoto yukimura, is so incredible at writing characters with trauma. his quote from sverkel “if you want to start anew, empty is the way to be” is so goddamn beautiful. yukimura’s works hit so hard for anybody struggling with mental health issues. in another work of his called planetes, there is a quote in the manga that makes me cry every time i see it. “being 70% happy is okay.” such a simple sentence that may seem fairly obvious to some, but it is so impactful. makoto yukimura is the goat man.
