2025-11-20 21:45:51 +0000 UTCYeah, I think it's meant to be more a reflection of the growing humanity of the soldiers (especially Kolt) that they are even so disturbed by it. Really the only unusual thing happening here is the King basically C-sectioning himself before the membrane around him was fully reduced and thinned out. So it probably contained a lot more blood vessels and stuff still which is why the Queen is dying.

Compared to the people in gyros backstory, are the ants actually more evil than humans? The chimera ants were born monsters, humans become monsters because of their own actions.

So them defecting from the queen was suppose to happen its nothing to do with their personality. And the lower guards stay with the queen

Please remember how youβre feeling about the King right now so you can compare down the line. 2) I think itβs justifiable that the King thinks heβs above the other ants altogether, or at least understandable. Us Homo sapiens probably wouldnβt consider ourselves the same as Homo erectus despite them being our direct ancestors. Itβs an arbitrary line in the sand but itβs something us humans do as well. A big theme of this arc is holding up a mirror to humanity. As the ants get more human personalities, they start doing things like hunting for sport, establishing their own domains, and stepping on insignificant creatures, which seems cruel and evil when they do it - so why is it just part of life when we do it? 3) One of those episodes that remind you how incredible this arcβs OST is. The scene with the King and the human family as well as Gon and Killua in the truck are astounding.
