2025-10-27 04:35:16 +0000 UTCTo add a bit of info as to why the season ends here on such a massive cliffhanger, its because Kaiju no 8 is VERY, VERY short. This arc is the beginning of the "final" arcs of the series. The series up to the episode you all have just watched has covered a total of 75 chapters. There's only 129 total chapters in the entire manga, meaning next season is almost certainly the last season. We're in the beginning of the "Second Wave" arc and there's only one more arc after the Second Wave and then it's over. MAYBE there's enough content there for a 4th season/a movie but I really doubt it, I think the third season is probably the last. From the beginning of the last few episodes of the second season/from the start of the episode you just watched, it's pretty much all just gas. Season 3 will be a banger, if it happens. No official renewal info yet but hopefully we'll see one soon!
