Idk if it’s been said before but even with emperor time kurapika is still a novice at this point in the story im fairly certain chrollo could have annihilated him here simply because broken abilities do not translate to battle experience he was lucky to have been called back

2025-07-18 23:35:46 +0000 UTCThe reason the guard feels as if he can talk down to Kurapika is because Kurapika was hired by the 10 dons to kill the Troupe, and that guard is higher in the chain of command. This supersedes his employment from the Nostrade family because they are subordinates to another family that belongs to the 10 Dons. So although the Nostrade family asked him to protect the daughter he should actually be out doing the job he was hired for

2025-07-06 18:26:28 +0000 UTCOne thing worth remembering is that Gon and Killua only really just completed basic training and then stopped. Killua hasn't even been in a proper fight since then. Obviously they have a ton of natural talent but in the grand scheme of things they are still beginners. Kurapika definitely did get some more advanced combat training but even he's not that much stronger in general; Chain Jail is kind of just a cheat code against Troop members specifically

I’ve known people who had shortish parents, but they usually have a random relative a generation or two back who was ridiculously tall. another reason is that anime always has old people short lol

I know y’all are already ahead, so Chrollo is rarely outmatched, he is hella smart. Chrollo is a character I love to hate, he is so cool and he irritates me so much. Also, I love Silva, I love how menacing his eyes are. Also, Zeno being short af is just an anime trope: old people are short LOL.

He did it off screen basically And if the original holder of an ability dies Chrollo also looses the ability almost all of the time. There are some exceptions tho. That's why he said Don't touch the car she's in. And yes he doesn't copy it but steals it.
