the 6 eyed raven we see at the end is "Raum" a demon wich has a simbiotic kinda relationship with "Swain", one of the leaders of noxis, this indicates, swain knows what happened in piltover. swain also very much hate the black rose, and a actively hunting them, due to them pulling the strings of noxis. Swain is a fair leader and will not tolerate any corruption of noxis.

Just want to mention something I've not seen anyone else mention anywhere ever: the rune that ekko highlights in 2x7 as "playing with inversions on the acceleration rune" is the one given to jayce in 1x2 and therefore the one we see embedded also in 2x7 and the rune that finally worked in 2x9. So to settle the general viewer argument of who really won the fight: team effort as always. Had viktor not found the correct rune, jayce would have never properly invented hextech and ekko would never have experimented with the right rune.

I love you both guys and I have been watching your reactions for a long time now. This reaction series fell a bit short to me but its because how powerful and complex it is to analyze Arcane. I would love for you to dig deeper into it and analyze it further, maybe discuss it more in another video. Its a show that needs to be watched a few times before coming to any conclusions because of how detail oriented it is. I understand that some choices that the characters make this season may be off putting on your first watch and I think thats the intention, but when you think through every action was in “character”. I personally enjoyed the bold and artistic choices they made this season. Cait and Vi getting together in a prison cell is one of them because of the meaning and symbolism of it, not because it makes the most “sense”. Expecting a real life flow from this creative show would probably leave you disappointed. Of course it would have been great to see more because of how amazing it is but as someone that works in the creative field, it is important to accept your constraints, work around them and do the best you can. Considering their future plans, Arcane really did the best they could for all characters. They did a concept for opposites and duality and really went for it. Sometimes it is up to us the viewers to piece things together.

Ekko was able to create his anomaly using an inversion of this specific rune, the acceleration rune. The reason it worked with this rune is because of Ekko. And what's funny, is the Viktor's ability to loop time to do this, he only gets because of Ekko first creating his time loop anomaly and then throwing it at viktor. Its a weird time paradox. Basically his success is what allowed him to make the attempt. Every other timeline including the "ideal" one Ekko visited, will invariably have hextech.

Another strong clue that maddie was a traitor all along is if you pause on the impact frame when she fires it shows her as a silhouette with an almost ghoulish grin

The explosion supposably killed Caitlin, Jayce, and Vi. Victor probably died from his illness because Jayce wasn't there either. Heimerdinger's a Yordle, also stated that in S2 E7, He's a yordle: Yordles are immortal spirits, so he might respawn in Bandle Town. He's in a different realm: With the introduction of the multiverse, he might be alive in a different realm. He's not shown dying: He's not shown dying on screen.

To give info on the bird at the end (since it will likely be the lead in for any future shows), the bird is basically a companion/servant of a major Noxian general/mage named Swain. He is linked with the Black Rose but not allied with (though he may have been at one point). He's a playable character from the game. Anyway, the second season felt much more flawed than the first to me (mostly in a rushed way) and the final two episodes were the biggest offenders to me, but it did a decent job of (hastily) wrapping up most loose ends. I will say that Jayce telling Viktor that his terminal disease that basically ruined his ability to walk is "what made you YOU" is... a choice. I understand the intent of that line, but it really clashes with Viktor's rushed arc this season because, initially, his intent was, you know, to NOT DIE. Not cure imperfections. So implying that him wanting to cure his fatal disease was wrong is a little problematic but mostly because his descent into "humanity is imperfect and must be fixed" was incredibly rapid and mostly offscreen.

So, to answer your questions about alternate Viktor and Jayce. Jayce likely went to prison since his experiment lead to a child’s death, then no one would be there when he committed suicide. Viktor without Hextech would have died from his health issues. Since Jayce would have been dead, it also explains why our Jayce wouldn’t have gone to the same alternate universe.

Yeah, it’s so hilariously transparent how they just had Maddie be a traitor so that Vi and Cait wouldn’t have to address the fact that they both knowingly and wilfully cheated. It would have been far more interesting for Maddie to have called Cait on all her shit at some point in the series, the swapping sides, signing Vi up without her consent, and of course, cheating on her, and the fact that Vi got shown more affection from Cait than Maddie did in god knows how long. After that, Maddie should’ve still fought, but chosen to walk away from Cait. Not only would it call out the elephant in the room of Cait’s behaviour and hold it to account (something which the narrative honestly skims over, which is one of the reasons Montana doesn’t like the CaitVi ship’s conclusion imo) but it would’ve made Maddie far more memorable as a character. Unfortunately though, Amanda Overton really wanted fan service so we got sesbian lex at the cost of actual strong characterisation and writing lmao.

I watched so many reactors even here on Patreon but you had the most wholesome reaction for me! I loved it so much. Arcane is absoluteley orgasmic when it comes to Animation. Every second of the whole show felt like they put in unlimited love and money. The music was extraordinary. It's insane how from Linkin Park to Twenty one Pilots many really frkn wordlwide popular artists wrote sth for this show. Whilst being that high in quality, still having a story thats so beautifully written is so rare. This show really won my heart. Since it's only 10 of 169League Champions that are involved i think League of Legends World (Runeterra) has the potential to be the next big thing comparable to fandoms like Star Wars; Lord of the Rings; Game of thrones or Star trek. The other lores of the Characters in the game are ALL on the same level if not even deeper. Riot makes toxic Games but League-Lore is one of the most amazing and most detailled pieces in Media that exist. I hope they keep up the pace, even if it is too expensive to produce ._.. They already set up the next shows for Noxus; Ionia and Demacia. I can't wait for this and hope i see you again at that point <3. What a revolutionary show!

This show gives me a lot of thoughts so sorry if I'm spamming. One thing with caitlyn is in season 1 she was aware that he family legacy was one of oppression and privilege bit she didn't know how to do anything to actually fix the problem. She tried to distance herself from her name and stuff. Inthink realizing the best way to help Zaun is to give them a seat on the council shows growth. That it isn't just another Piltie trying to argue for zaun rights or anything. We know that someone in her family did commission the air vents to be done so the zaunites could breathe. Yet that isn't enough. That doesn't solve the underlying issue that makes zaunites so vulnerable. Which is a power imbalance between the 2. And sevika on the council is a bigger step towards that than anything we have seen. You can argue the deal jayce gave silco would have helped but that would create a very hostile situation that won't be sustainable. Also this doesn't effect it too much but I do wonder the logitistics of giving her council seat. Is it fully given to the under city or is sevika the Kiraman representative. This is more about does she have the power to just give a council seat to zaun or is she using a loophole. More just curiosity. I personally want a continuation somehow that gives us more in how sevika does on the council and stuff

I agree the sevika on the council thing js huge and the best part to heal. I also tbibk is important that Shoola seems to have a mutual respect for her and while Sevika has some enemies against her on the council she clearly also has allies. And dealing with the council isn't going be any harder than dealing with the chem barons for silco. So not only is having anyone from zaun on the council good, but having Sevika on the council is a very good choice. She knows what the underground needs and she knows how to get it down in this type of meeting where not everyone has the same goals or the same morals. I think someone like Ekko or his first in command would be an easy choice and probably better PR move but sevika's resume is just perfect which shows thought went into who would be the best representative.

For the Mel stuff Mel is the child of Ambessa and a mage. There is no thrif child. The term sister was used to say she's part of tbr group. I'm pretty sure Mel used her mom as bait to get revenge for Kino and her mom realized that and respects it. Only way to get the deceivers defenses down. Also she did want to protect piltover too and the only way to stop the army was that.

It's revealed by the writers she was always a spy. This puts her actions in a different perspective and does look like foreshadowing some people did pick up on. Not everyone which makes it a good twist I think. In epsidoe 1 of season 2 when she's telling Vi about caitlyn she is trying to keep an eye on both Vi and Caitlyn. They're clearly the power players at the time. Yes she risked her life during the memorial but by doing so she became a hero that got onto task force. In episode 3 she's the first person to endorsed Caitlyn as general. Clearly leading the other soldiers. The talking about going against noxus was testing Caitlyn's loyalties. Seeing if there's anything ambessa needs to worry about or not. Even in episode 8 it's clear she's trying to be part of caitlyn's response talks and seeing what the plan is. She's a damn good spy and all her actions actually makes sense.

The first time I heard the “Dirt under your nails line” it flew over my head. But the idea that Cait is coming from a place of privilege, I feel like the writers are trying to make us uncomfortable with the resolution that they are back together again. Was she from Noxus? Looked like a Piltover resident. Either way, it's not the point. I know it wasn't for drama, but it also just came out of nowhere at the very end. Maddie was actively encouraging Caitlyn to go against Ambessa's plan in a few scenes, so there wasn't really foreshadowing there. It all felt like a post-hoc situation, where they added her being a traitor after already writing the first few episodes and then having to make it work. Not saying it doesn't work, it just doesn't work nearly as well as the rest of the show, and when your show is this high quality, the gap can be jarring. Also - just meant that its very convenient to make her a traitor to avoid the relationship drama between Cait and Vi. PS - Maddie also almost died during the Shimmer assault at the funeral service, so if she was meant to be a traitor Noxian all along, why even have her in that situation? The rest of the Noxian soldiers arrived later on purpose, why did they risk her dying before she could do literally any of her spycraft/manipulation?

My only criticism of the series is that they shoehorned in Maddie to be evil all along just so that they can have Vi and Caitlyn be together with no complications at the end. It felt really rushed and out of nowhere tbh. I would have been fine with some drama of Caitlyn cheating on Maddie with Vi...it's okay for the end not to be clean and have some messiness.

The rune on the stone that Viktor gave to Jayce is the acceleration rune. It's the same rune that Ekko inverts to create the time device in the other timeline. The acceleration rune is also what Jayce uses for the Hexgate teleportation.

Ambessa did blatantly say that she used Cait’s compromised emotional state to her advantage several episodes ago. The best way to do that is to catch someone in a vulnerable moment, and a physical relationship is great for that. It didn’t even have to be Maddie, Cait probably would have gone to anyone to “fill the void” as Ambessa put it (she was constantly shifting away from Maddie anyway, she never really cared for her all that much from the start lol). Ambessa just saw another way to further her goals through Cait and took it. So no, I don’t agree that Maddie only exists as an attempt to get people to sympathize with Cait. If it were, they would have shown Cait be a lot more upset. I will say the Maddie stuff this episode felt kind of out of nowhere, probably for the sake of Vi being able to just slip back in no issue, but yeah.

That it ended up being similar to the dr strange "only one way we win" thing which is what basically brought about the entire series of events was a pleasant surprise! I would have loved to have been able to have more of Jinx and Ekko in this finale, but I am satisfied with Viktor and Jayce's ending as I thought it was quite beautiful and meaningful. I don't like Vi's line at the end so much 😔 even when it seems like the writers put a lot of effort into making it as I didn't feel it very romantic or emotional. Because let's see we have Viktor and Jayce with their "in all timelines, in all possibilities, only you can show me this..." And Ekko with Jinx with his "No matter what happened in the past it's never too late to build something new" But I don't know, I think it could have been a line more about their new start as a couple than being Caitlyn's nail dirt and stuff. But hey, other than that, it's a really good ending that encompasses quite a few different plots ❤️ I'm so glad I got to watch it with you two now since I won't be able to subscribe for a while until much later. Thanks for the double update.

Two things I wanted to add: - 1) It's really funny that Ambessa died in this show because in League of Legends the game, she JUST got released as a champion. So she comes out, then like a month later, dies in the show. Just really funny haha - 2) The reason why "This time" worked is because of the specific rune that was used. It was the "Acceleration" rune. Ekko mentions the way he made the Z-drive is with a reverse of Jayce's "Acceleration Rune". Acceleration rune sends you forward/speeds you up, so it would make sense that the reverse of this sends you backwards. Because of Ekko and that rune, Jayce was given the opportunity he needed. Ekko truly is the boy savior and is the GOAT (Also I refused to believe Jinx is dead there's just too much saying otherwise)

League lore fact: That six eyed raven is a familiar of a LoL champion called Swain, who led a coup of the Noxian government. I forget all the details of his backstory, but I know he uses some sort of blood magic and is also one of the leaders of the Black Rose.

Since it’s over there’s a few interesting things you should know regarding Ekko and Jinx. There were 60 minutes of Ekko and Jinx interactions that were cut from the final episode. There was a scene in which he told her about the good version of herself after stopping her from unaliving herself. When they went to the hideout they spent the night and few days before the battle building together which paralleled episode 7. She met the firelights and bonded with them. Her and Ekko also drew all over each others bodies with paint and had more intimate/romantic moments. It’s unfortunate all of this was cut because they didn’t want to make the finale too long, but in the official art book you can see a few things from Jinx’s perspective! We’ve started petitions to get Netflix to release these 60 minutes 😭😭

I love this show a lot. To me it sets a precedent of what I want to see in animation. It’s just… flawless in that respect. And the different characters, and the love and care put into them, you could just feel it every second, no matter how you may feel about how it turned out. Yes this season had some noticeable issues with pacing. I wouldn’t say the characters were rushed necessarily, it didn’t feel that they themselves developed too quickly, but rather that we didn’t really get to see it. A lot of scenes felt like they got cut out (for example, I wouldn’t have really liked to see more of Ekko’s talk with Jinx), but I could see how they things ended up the way they did. Just a lot of skipping around lol. No small amount is left up to the viewer to interpret, which is a shame, but I guess they ran out of time to show much of it. At the risk of sounding pretentious, my thoughts on the series can be summed up with this line from Jayce: “There is beauty in imperfections. They made you who you are.” I have no issue with saying that my favorite things are flawed. I hope people in the comments are civil about it and don’t go insulting people for whatever they think, but I wouldn’t be surprised. I’m just glad Kenny and Montana enjoyed it so much. I’m definitely going to be keeping an eye on what else they do in the future. Looking forward to that, and the Letts’s eventual reaction to them 😊

They’ve already announced that there is one new show in active production, and two shows which are still in the pre-production/concept phase. I just thought I’d also mention that the next show likely won’t be called ‘Arcane’ but will be given a new name. Most people expect the new show to take place on Noxus - the Empire which Mel, Ambessa and The Black Rose come from. It’s both easily connectable to Arcane and is also a great place for storytelling. Final fun fact, somebody asked showrunner Christian Linke on Twitter ‘Will we ever see Vi and Cait again?’ and he replied (hilariously) with ‘Duh.’ You can tell he ain’t media trained but I’m not complaining considering that confirmation 😂

It’s freaking awesome especially if you love the mha world. Great characters, good story (not as good as mha) with an amazing ending, and Koichi is a way better mc than Deku, at least to me. Fun note about their eyes, The exact color of their eyes is the other. VI has Powder blue eyes, and Jinx has Red Violet Eyes. This was done on purpose.

The big complaint I've seen and agree with is that the season feels rushed. Especially at the end. It feels like 2 seasons worth of story smashed into 1.

if you remember Powder saw an air ship in the beginning and said one day shes gonna fly one so i like to believe she finally flew one out and walked away like silco's advice

Another strong clue that maddie was a traitor all along is if you pause on the impact frame when she fires it shows her as a silhouette with an almost ghoulish grin

Honestly the only bad guy to me was just smeech because... One he just creeps me out and just ugh gross but also because the only good part was the jinx and Sevika fighting him lol and I guess shimmer cuz how else would jinx survive lol

When their putting papers in the bowl, to show how many people have died because of the war, you can see a girl with blue hair and a pink stran of hair like the powder from the alternate universe powder. Or so it looks like it.

True but it would have made her betrayal super obvious. You would automatically assume any Noxian to be with Ambessa so they could only hint at it after the betrayal and that might've taken from the scene

This feels weird, because we first meet her in a Piltover enforcer uniform, they really should've hinted at it in the show itself. I don't like it when authors have to clarify things like this outside the show.

Don't get me wrong, I had no issues with Vi and Cait having a sex scene, in fact I think it'd have been juicier for the plot to have Cait cheat and have to then explain that to Maddie, but whatever. This season could've used 1-2 extra episodes for sure.

You caught on well, the reason the future changed is because he gave Jayce that specific rune, which led Ekko to develop the Z-Drive as he says in episode 7 allowing him to rewind in the final battle

Honestly, nobody realises Ekko's sacrifice. My man could have stayed in the really good universe but he fought so hard to come back and save the day here and ended up mourning the Powder that could have been in his universe if her trauma has not happened the way it did. The GOAT!

Ugh this show is amazing. 26:47 — that’s the pianist we saw early on as well. War amplifying each personality good or bad. Pianist rising to the occasion and completing the mission another couldn’t.

16:10 something to note is that we see the same girl in episode 8 tending the bar and playing in the band. In Ekkos perfect world she was living what we can only assume to be a dream she had if everything hadn’t gone the way it had. Makes her death even sadder.

I'd recommend Blue Eye Samurai because it's gorgeous (same sort of animation style as Arcane but period piece in Japan) but it's also very gory so perhaps not one for Montana to enjoy, from memory from your earlier days reacting

As an artist, I really valued the Anti-AI undertones (sometimes overtones lol) in this final arc with Victor. In a world where Gen Ai seems to be infesting the art world, it only made me love this series even more than I already did.

She was always from Noxus and Ambessa literally used her to continue her manipulation on Caitlyn? That plot twist was never about using her for drama between Caitlyn and Vi's relationship, it was about showing how cunning Ambessa was.
