Hi all. Hopefully you're enjoying all this sudden rush of this story. This one eases off the gas a little (I think) to allow some breathing before the next chapter. I have a meeting on Tuesday that's going to eat up a lot of my bandwidth between now and then, so this may be the last post Thursday. Should have 20 chapters and an epilogue within another week and a half, though. Unless, of course, something goes horribly wrong.
Also, the last post had an incorrect file name. The pdf listed chapters 14-15 instead of 15-16. I fixed it on the post, but if you're keeping those in order, just swap out the numbers.

I know it's been a long slow burn from conception to paper but damn we're picking up steam and I really don't want it to stop. Can't wait to see what comes of Lydia. Personal head cannon thoughts so utterly meaningless: I've been viewing Melanie is a proto-gold digger archetype in my head; so when it's Greg not Bennie, at the apartment when she arrives mentally I was prepared for her to be shedding the Bennie 'love/lust' and trying to worm her way into becoming Greg's side piece. Mel would be willing to drop Bennie as she knows it was really Greg with all the money and that Mel has a thing for bedding married men never really wanting to be a wife before Greg mentions turning her into a cow and her wanting him to her bull and make her his number one consort. But in my mind I've seen Mel as a social climber and status seeker so anything really to put her above others but at the same time get out from under "Daddy's thumb"
