Nymph (Redux) - Full Compile

Hi all!  Took a little longer than expected, but this is the final version with all the bells and whistles where they're supposed to be.  Unless of course, I discover some horrendous flaw that I stared right in the face for months without realizing it.  But that definitely, probably won't might not happen.  Maybe.

First thing to mention is a change to a few inconsistent descriptions that nagged at me. For one, in the OG version, the female nymphs had red lips and red labia, either for the rose comparison or for a lipstick analogy.  That seemed confusing to me and while I doubt many people would get hung up on the sexual dimorphism of fictional plant people, I wanted to be clearer and having them fully green or naturally hued on the outside made more sense.  They should all line up accordingly now.

I expanded on Justin's initial tf section to more directly allude to his end result.  I held off from doing a full, direct description of it in the initial Justin/Jenny scene because I wanted the revelation to come closer to Steven's perspective.

The chapter 6/7/8 sequence was rearranged.  I did it several different ways so at this point I don't know what order it all went in without going back to look.  It jumps around less in a POV sense, and a few minor additions help to smooth edges on the horrid "and then they had sex" moment while also putting a little momentum behind the exposition dump.

On the whole, I'm pleased with how this turned out. Which is mostly that I was able to give the series a cogent ending. Originally, the idea was for Carol to set up a rival Seed that she essentially subdued into cooperation, but having come out of the Convent of Sin/Carnal Abbey stuff I was less inclined to go darker with this.  But, I did attempt to leave a slightly sinister edge to many of the Seed's actions, and Carol's dryad form is still a little on the scarier side of things.  It's easy to see her forming a coup or secretly creating monstrosities in her basement with Thorn's help to prepare for the inevitable war against humans.

By the way, this technically qualifies as a novel. Apparently Convent does, too. Personally I would call it more of a long novella than a short novel, but I'm not the one who decides these things.

If you like, let me know your thoughts and criticisms in the comments or in DMs.  Next up will probably be one or two shorts before digging back into the world of Milktec.  Happy Reading!

It might be how fresh it is but I am liking the re-org of the middle chapters I think it flow better. I look forward to the palate cleansing stories and the eventual return to the Vaught story.
