There's a saying - Respect an old man who is in a profession where people die young. In real life, commanders and generals don't have to be strong, they just have to be knowledgeable. It's honestly a failure of the system that someone who has been participating in as many dungeons as Jinwoo isn't exploited more for his knowledge of dungeons and isn't treated more as a teacher, coach or strategist. I am quite frankly baffled by how little training or preparation these hunters seem to have, they feel greener than green. I don't know if there's an academy or school or a class hunters take before they're allowed into dungeons, but if there isn't, clearly there should be one.

2024-07-12 00:28:08 +0000 UTCSkill and tactics are the biggest things I feel like people in this universe should focus on. You can't train to be stronger, but you can train to fight better as a team. Learn from real life armies and squads and have a proper strategy set up, with clearly defined roles and teamwork. In the fight against the ants a phalanx would have been absolutely amazing, but instead everyone fights scattered in a loose formation, doing the opposite of teamwork. Also the tech feels unclear, like yeah weapons don't work, but you could still have walkie talkies, nightvision goggles, climbing gear, etc that could all help out in dungeons. Not to mention remote camera drones. Even noisemakers could help, like throw something to attract the monsters to draw them out from hiding spots. I'd also personally test smoke grenades and flashbangs to see if they do anything.

It also suffers greatly from the classic repeating the same lines and scenes over and over and over again trope of anime. I feel like you could cut this season down by 2 entire episodes without losing anything bc there's so much repeated stuff.

I love when an assumed weak character shocks people with their strength. It gets me so hyped. Plus ngl he's also just really hot. Cha Hae-in and Go Gunhee are pretty cool too.

Also I’m new here so I’m not sure where we suggest new anime but I would LOVE to see you guys react to Spy X Family. It’s different than what you’ve reacted to but it’s so good. Great action, comedy, and it’s super adorable. And the English dub is really good! I think you guys would love it

Solo leveling is a reverse isekai because it doesn't take place in another world that the MC has been transported or reincarnated into and even though it still possesses the videogame leveling up mechanic like other isekais. Hopefully this clears up any confusion.
