Carnal Abbey WIP 4-6

Hi all! Next chunk of this story takes us through some spooky foreshadowing and right into the first round of corruptions. Chapter 6 and Chapter 7 are the finales of Act I, so to speak, and I wanted to get 7 bundled in with this chunk, but various factors (holiday, re-wallpapering a wall, it's hot as fuck outside) have slowed me down a bit.
I did pick up the pace some in this section, hurrying up to the sexy parts. The first 4 chapters will either need to be pruned down or fleshed out more depending on how the pacing ends up. From 6 onward though, things should remain brisk and consistent on both sex and lore building. I like using the split narrative between Anne's POV and Kate's. Will probably keep going with that until more chapters like 6 where jumping into the heads of others to get the sexual/transformation stuff perspective makes sense.
Also, a note on 6 is that it is less sex than it is transformation. While that will probably get punched up in revision, I wanted to focus more on the physical changes to get a palette for the demons on the board which will let the sexy stuff play off them in the future.
As always, this is a work in progress. I did a rough spelling check and formatted it to be readable, but otherwise expect errors. I'm always happy to hear thoughts and feedback in the comments for the post or in DMs!
Will probably wrap up 7 and the first half of 8 before the weekend. Got another short in the pipeline, and I have a wall that needs a floral print on it that has to be addressed. Happy reading!
