I mean bullying is bad, but I'd argue sexual assault is worse and mineta has touched several of the girls without consent. Also, at least Bakugo has character development. Granted he's still his aggressive self, but he changes his views, a lot of his behavior and even apologizes, whereas mineta still stays his perverted and sexual assaulting self so.....maybe thats why. Idc if you have a perfectly reasonable goal to be a hero, SEXUAL ASSAULT IS FUCKED. If u want to defend mineta just Take the L and stop trying to sound so smartly smug.

On the one hand, they can tolerate Bakugo's bullying and anger issues and even admire him regardless of whether he has done anything to amend his past faults. On the other hand, they despise Mineta irrevocably since the beginning, as if his whole identity is a worthless/ridiculous being, when, in fact, he has a perfectly reasonable goal for a teenage boy to become popular among girls. And he has already proved his determination by overcoming his weakness (perviness) to work towards that goal, which in itself should be admirable for any human being.

It's fair in that sense for everyone to have different opinions because the goal is the same for everyone, regardless of the circumstances of it. It's not fair from our cultural lens but I guess from a military background I can see it and understand it pretty plainly. You're told to accomplish something, you're graded on whether or not that happens. No more, no less.

2023-11-02 19:01:17 +0000 UTCTrying to think back to s2 I think that Bakugo and Todoroki could easily defeat Nezu at that time. I think Deku likely would win against him as well but it would more strategic against an opponent that's also strategic versus Bakugo and Shoto just overpowering Nezu. I think with the right partners, Iida, Uraraka, Asui, Tokoyami, Jiro, Yaoyorozu, Kirishima, and actually Ashido as well could defeat Nezu. I might be missing some people like maybe Sero or Sugarman but I doubt it. Invisible Girl possibly could escape I guess. I'm just saying, I don't think Nezu is that overpowered against the students at this point, but he's definitely high tier. It's not like All Might where basically only Deku had a realistic chance of ever winning against him. I agree with your original assessment that this matchup is just straight up unfair for Kaminari and Ashido. This test plays to some of Ashido's strengths (she can melt stuff, she even does it a little) but none of Kaminari's at all, and it preys on both of their weaknesses (logical planning). Ashido with Tsu, Tokoyami, Iida, Ochaco, or Yaoyorozu probably would have won against Nezu I think.

2023-10-29 10:20:49 +0000 UTCMineta could be such a cool character, between his frankly incredible quirk and his surprisingly remarkable strategic skill (remember, the really clever plan with him and Tsu hiding under Shoji's arms was his idea), if it weren't for him being a "giant perv" punchline. And even then! Jiraiya from Naruto is a perv, but that's actually part of what makes him a great character because it's all an act to make people underestimate or ignore him! If Mineta were doing something like that, it'd be great.

He wasn't one of "the cool kids" in middle school, and no one (including girls) liked to hang out with him, so he decided to become a hero to become a "cool kid". After coming to UA, though, he figured out that, because he's cool, he's able to become a hero.
