I'm hoping now that you've finished owl house and started on gravity falls, you'll watch Amphibia after this as all three (and rick and Morty) are all sister series that take place in the same universe and have a lot of collaborating actors and multiple shout outs to each other as, as many people on here have mentioned before.

Alex Hitch the director of this show is the voice actor of King in the Owl House!! Maybe he does some voicing ;) The art style of Gravity Falls inspired the art style of Amphibia and the Owl House and regarded just as high. The is definitely an audience which watched both the Owl House and Gravity Falls. Gravity Falls director and Rick and Morty director knows each other well! Both share a simular art style and expect there to be references between these two shows!

Alex Hirsch (the creator) depicted Mabel and Dipper off of his and his twin sister’s (Ariel) relationship. That’s probably why the twins have such a good and believable relationship. :)

Never seen Gravity Falls but heard a lot of stuff about it so excited to watch with y'all. What I do know is Alex Hirsch is the creator of this show and he also voices Grunkle Stan. You may not put it together because such different voices but he also does Hooty and King in The Owl House. Dana Terrace, the creator of The Owl House, worked on Gravity Falls as an animator and storyboard artist before she created her own Disney show. I believe Dana and Alex were dating for a while but may have broken up now. Just some cool connective stuff between the two Disney shows!

Just want to say you guys would find Ranking of Kings absolutely adorable and the animation was done by the studio that did the first 3 seasons of AOT, but it's more picture book.

I am so pumped that you guys are finally watching Gravity Falls!! I remember watching it when it first came out. Me and my sister would watch it together and form all kinds of theories. Also, make sure you keep a watchful eye on the backgrounds. There are hidden messages that you can crack. And there are hidden messages at the end of each episode after the credits as well. :)

On a separate note, after season 1, there are two miniseries of Gravity Falls shorts that you should watch before season 2. The first miniseries is called "Dipper's Guide to the Unexplained", and the second miniseries is "Mabel's Guide to...". You could honestly probably fit both into a single video.

As others have also said, even the intro has a hidden message in it. If you listen closely to the whisper that plays when the logo appears, that changes every few episodes. Also like others have said, every episode of Gravity Falls has at least one code in it. Season 2 has two codes in it. Both codes are at the tail end of the credits. Some codes are little jokes, but others give interesting lore and background info not found elsewhere in the show, and some even hint at future events. I'd definitely suggest trying to decide the messages or at least looking them up after each episode. On a separate note, I'd suggest not skipping the credits scenes, either. Some of them just funny bits, while others should be considered as part of the episode.

There's a lot of hidden messages in this show. Codes during the end credits and sometimes there'll be pictures after the credits. Pay attention to them and maybe decode them! Its a fun way the show kept engaged with viewers. Also theres a whisper during the intro at the very end that says something and sometimes it changes. Slow it down to hear it :)

I grew up watching this show so I couldn’t be more excited to watch y’all go on this journey too. Couple things, the end credits scene is often important so make sure you stay for that. Also at the end of the credits there’s a code you can decipher if you want and it’ll give hints and clues to the plot. After this show, you should definitely do Amphibia to complete the Disney channel animated trifecta

In case no one has told you yet, which I doubt, the creator of this show Alex Hirch is the voice of king/hooty (also Stan) and worked closely on the owl house with the creator, also his wife at the time, Dana! She also worked on this show with him and voiced background characters. They are pretty much the reason why the two shows give off the same vibes lmao. Also, yes this show has many MANY hidden messages and imagery. Every episode has a code for the fans to deceiver using ciphers (caesar, a1z26, atbash and vigenere, the type changes throughout) that you guys could have a lot of fun decoding!
