2023-07-19 17:35:09 +0000 UTCI've never heard someone who prefers that, most TV's I've had don't allow headphones plugged in, so like movies and such you watch with little headphones over the TV speakers? Interesting. Yeah Lapels can be adjusted like you'd just set Kenny to -34 then if your guess is accurate and don't even need to edit it after, but can also do that since it'd be separate channels of audio. Not sure what feedback issues you mean, but as I mentioned before I've seen channels use camera plus 2 lapels for TV recording and there's no background audio. I've been slightly researching it myself but don't have a full set up yet else I'd explain mine but my plan is to use a camera and lapels since it looks cleaner and lowkey the channels using it actually have great audio. Everyone has their own stuff that works though, was just saying if they change I'd rather lapels and no obstruction over both wearing big headphones and having huge mics in front of their mouths haha :)

2023-07-19 17:19:02 +0000 UTCBut I agree that lapels directly into the camera would work if the camera was being controlled by the same computer that was playing the video for them. If they were separate you could run into feedback issues.

2023-07-19 16:55:50 +0000 UTCI like them having individual mics and headphones because I have a gut feeling Montana is about 20db lower than Kenny on average. And headphones will always beat in room audio unless you have a NASTY setup.

2023-07-19 16:54:43 +0000 UTCYk what format I see that seems better, lapel microphones attached to the camera as they don't pickup background noise, ie a TV. No need for headphones play episode normally and just do a tiny noise reduction in the edit. (Edit also no need to adjust the microphones that way every episode or have them in the thumbnail covering their faces sometimes :)

Also you guys should look into a USB Audio Interface that has In Ear Monitoring (IEM) that way you AND Montana would be able to have both headphones (there are usually multiple jacks/ports on middle to high end models) Then you would be able to have stereo audio from the shows you watch. My hero and Owl House Finale are musically driven and not having stereo I’m sure hinders the experience. Anywhoozle. Love the content. I’m excited for more “Geass-Lighting”
