Here at Darkwood Tales we are a new, small team of indie game developers who are looking to bring a new set of stories to the adult game world.

We have a passion to create games that take the players on a moral journey. When one door closes, another opens. Some of these doors, may stay closed forever and what comes out of those open doors might not be something you were ready for.

Currently we are in the early development stages of our first game:

The Magic Book Act 1

This is a game of discovery, adventure and building relationships.
Your actions will have consequences and shape the game world.

We aim to make a replayable experience with multiple outcomes depending on your choices and actions within the game. Your actions will have repercussions, and some bridges will be burned.

You will play as Nigel, a young man who the world has left behind. He has a small circle, few prospects and almost no motivation. The one thing he has in this world is her. The girl of his dreams. Oh wait, no, he doesn't have her either.
All Nigel thinks about is sex and losing his virginity, something he has held on to for far too long and not through lack of desire. But the Darkwood has other plans for Nigel, as you will see.

Will Nigel find the girl of his dreams? Or will his temptations lead him to ruin?

That, my friends, will lie in your hands.

In addition to the game itself, we want you all to be part of the project. We will hold regular polls about story direction, scene ideas and artwork. This gives Patreons the power to shape the game itself, creating the adventures YOU want to play (Yes this will include the kind of sex scenes we add too!).

Current Development status

We're currently in the process of developing a proof of concept Demo for The Magic Book Act 1. Estimated public demo Launch: December 2023

We currently have a Writer, Artist and Developer working part-time on this project. The work we have done so far has been voluntary alongside our civilian lives.

Our goal is to make this a full-time project and expand into making more games of this genre.
