Small Talk

Hello everyone,

I'll be honest, this post is more here to tell you that I'm still alive than to give you news about the next update. The closer I am from the date of the move, the more I realize I'll be less and less able to sit down and write a post like this, so might as well do it while I still can.

Preparations for the move are progressing, but since I'm alone, there are still many things to do. There are also administrative stuff I have to take care of and I'm also taking that chance to do things I never do.

For example, I'm trying to clean my PC. I don't mean physically (that I'll do after I've moved), but folder-wise. It's getting messier and messier with years so I'd like to order things as much as I can so I can have a properly tidied PC after I've moved.

Also, I won't lie but there's a tiny thing that came out some days ago called "Arknights: Endfield" that may have eaten a bit of my time (just a tiny bit). Well, you know how much of an Arknights fan I am, so it was a given I would play Endfield.

What can I say about SoVR?

I can say that if I manage to squeeze the update right before I move, I'll be able to include a new base image, and that alone will be great. And before you ask, yes, it's the other Akiko pic. So the update will probably only contain new Akiko stuff and that will be it.

I'm talking in future tense because since the end of my Christmas break, it's been hard for me to focus on the game when I have to run around the house to prepare stuff. That was already what I was doing before Christmas, but things are getting closer and closer so things have changed in terms of time spent on move vs the game. And my way of working is that I make better progress if I can work like 4 or 5 hours in a row than if I work just in slices of 1 hour. As such, I barely made any progress. My actual goal is actually to try and make things ready BEFORE the date of the move so that I can focus for several days in a row on the update to work on it properly. If I manage to do that, the update will (hopefully) be a bit bigger.

So yeah, I think I've already mentioned it but basically, just the date of the move isn't enough to be at peace. I'm going down with a first load in a truck, then unload everything, then spend a week painting all the walls and ceilings, then I come BACK, to do a second trip and bring back what's left (I remind you that one back and forth trip is 1000km). So you can consider that the rest of February I won't be able to work AT ALL.

Things should stabilize in March and you should get a proper update at the end of March.

I know it's not the best, but honestly, this decrease of pace is happening at a good moment. With the yen crashing out and my SS account being smaller and smaller, I'm earning less and less every month. If I can, I will make a last post before my move to show you the numbers.
