Hello everyone,
I'm back for a real post this time. If you're reading this on SS, enjoy those images, they'll maybe be the last ones I'll post (they removed the possibility to add images on posts. I managed to bypass that this time, but it might not be long before they find out about it :x)
Anyway, I wanted to strike with a big post this time. After all, considering the list of things I have left to show you, the majority of them are not necessarily visual so this is the last post that will picture something very visual since it's a whole new menu. Or should I say, it's an improved menu.
The Status screen in the main game was ALWAYS meant to have a different look in the post game content. As you'll see in a moment, there are much more things to deal with in that menu. As such, we had to rethink everything from scratch. And boy... You know how bad we are at UI designing. Just the UX alone (meaning the placement of things for them to be as ergonomic as possible) took us a lot of time x) We tried different things and once we managed to settle on a proper UX, then came the UI. As always, I went through a fucking desert of ideas. I can imagine everything you want when it comes to H stuff, but for UI I am probably the WORST guy on earth. But little by little, trying some ideas, keeping some, deleting others, I ended up with a final vision. It's nothing ground breaking, but as something I've done mainly alone (the design choices, I mean, the whole coding is Hime's of course), it's probably close to the best thing I can come up with. So if I looks a bit bland to you, sorry, it'll have to do ^^'
So... Where do I start? Maybe by easing your fears? Of course, Yuki's body is cut for obvious reasons, don't worry. The window is divided in 3 main categories.
The first two frames will contain the current status of the two main quests. I remind you each girl will have two main quests. Just like the base progression was written in the main game, here, you'll have a progression for each quest. This way you'll know exactly where you left if you stop the game for a moment or you'll know where to go if you're lost.
The bottom left part is the game stats. Does it really need to be explained? You can see things here. It's a combination of data that will either help you to know if you've unlocked everything or just to brag about them :p I divided the play time in two categories because I thought it was interesting the have the time played for each girl (which should be revealing of who's your favourite 8D)
And finally the bottom center is the famous "Accessory" part. I've talked about it for a long time, but it'll be implemented for the next update. Accessories will have an effect on facesets (Busts shown during conversations) and in H scenes as well. However, in cases where an accessory is in conflict with the scene content, it won't show.
So, how does it work? It's pretty simple. To be able to add an accessory to a character, you need to have the item (either buying it or getting it through other means, depending on the accessory). But that's not all. You also need to unlock the possibility to wear or unwear it (in the case of glasses for Yuki, for example) in the Skill Tree. If you only have the accessory but not the ability, it will appear in the list but it'll be greyed out. You won't be able to activate/deactivate it. However, if you have the skill, the accessory will become triggerable and them being equiped or unequiped will show on the full sprite on the right side.
For items that characters already have, you only need to buy the skill to remove them (so every girl with glasses will only need the specific skill to remove it, no need to buy a "no glass item" it wouldn't make sense.
As it's written, the main girls will have 5 different accessories. It won't be the case for Yuki, but some girls will have exclusive accessories so it won't always mean you'll be able to wear them all at the same time (even if I'd like to avoid that possibility as much as possible so I might change my mind about some accessories when moving to other girls ^^')
But wait, that's not all. Playable girls are NOT the only ones to get accessories. NPCs will also have theirs. 3 per NPC. This is something we still have to do but the status screen will have a page where you'll be able to equip those accessories to said NPCs. For each playable girl, the characters linked are the ones that will be implied with the girl for some reason. So of course, on Yuki's side, Emiri's a given. But who's going to be the second NPC?
Ah, come on, I said I would strike with that post, right? So let me reveal it right away. It's going to be no more than Akiko herself. Unfortunately, due to how late we are, she won't have any scene in the next update, but you'll be able to witness some Akiko content while playing as Yuki in the future. As such, she'll also have 3 accessories. Oh, and I think I already mentioned it at some point, but I'm taking the Persona 4 road. That means one accessory slot is reserved for glasses for EVERY character. Whether they have some or not doesn't change anything.
That's all for that page. Because yes, there will be another page in the status screen. If you press left or right, you'll move to another page.
It's a given, but it needed to be THAT big. This is where you'll see all the sexual stats of the girl. Those lines are the same for every girl. So of course, you can easily expect that there are some lines that are bound to fill in much more for some girls than for others :x They're grouped by categories. I know it's barely visible at the back but that's because it's not meant to be informative, more like to decorate the boxes. Because it won't remain ??? forever. Increase a single one of those line by triggering a scene with the corresponding values will change the ??? into its real name, revealing it.
That's how it will slowly unfold as the game progresses. This screen has almost no value in gameplay. Most locked scenes will be locked behind the Perversion Points values or behind fetish unlocking. There MIGHT be a few cases where I ask one of those values to have a specific value to unlock something but I don't want to turn the game into a micro-management game (I've already ditched the idea of giving ranks to body parts (you know D, C, B, A, S for mouth, breast, pussy etc...) because it was a supplementary level of complexity that wasn't necessary here.) Sure, doing everything through perversion point makes things overal more easy, but I think it's also easier for me to keep track of the globale player progression ^^'
So yeah, this screen is really just for fun ("Wow, she drank more than 5 liters of cum? Oof") XD I hope you'll enjoy it :)
And with that, the status screen reveal is over. Hime and I worked a lot to get to this point. It's one of those things I was mentioning in the previous post. Now that this is done, it doesn't have to be done again for the next girls, but for Yuki, it has to be done from scratch so it's only logical things take longer. Naturally, the original Status screen from the main game will be updated to fit the new design.
Things are far from being over and there's still a lot to do, but I think the game's on the right track. There are two elements I still need to talk about before the release, so I'll keep them for now.
See ya! o/
