Slice of Venture Remake Diary #6

Time to focus on the other star of the cast: Reiko.

Like I did with Naomi I'll quickly show you how things went back then.

Once again, even if I mentionned it a lot already I remind you that Reiko's design was chosen based on the decisions of one of you. Things evolved like with other characters, the major difference being that there weren't polls and he could pick whatever suited his tastes.

As you can see, the original clothes choices had different extra elements that Skulltitti added on her own (fluorescent braids, tatoos) None of those outfit made it to the end and we ended up with a result that was a mix of different things.

The famous three-colored fluo hair and the rose tatoo. The only thing that was dropped from this design is the apron. The apron works when you're at home (that's why I kept it in SoV2) but you don't walk around with an apron when you're somewhere else. So the final design was this one.

She had a lot of "extra" features back then. The hair, the tatto, the cigarette, the heterochromia. I did my best to keep them all, but the hair I just couldn't. At some point, I've learned more and more about the archetypes of milfs in hentai (and by hentai I mean Japanese view which is what it should be :x) and that's not really the kind of style you'd see for one. That would work more easily for the kind of woman that dedicated her life to her passion or whatever and NOT to a family life like Reiko. Usually those are more "simple" in their design (and it's one of their attractiveness.)

So yeah, the hair were ditched as soon as SoV2. But for the rest, I stayed strong (even if, to be PERFECTLY honest, the tatoo has always bugged me because the view of Japan about tatoos makes it extremely unlikely that a mother would walk around with such a visible tatoo that she'd expose like that. Too Yakuza-close ^^'). But don't worry, she'll keep it. And it's a bit early to talk about it but... in later versions of the game, you will have an option to remove it if you don't want to see it.

So what about her current design. Well we didn't go far. With Peak we saw the original clothes choices and I was like "damn there's way enough stuff to pick from so we can use one of these."

Because of SoV2, Reiko has always been a trouser's woman for me. I think it counterbalances well Akiko's design giving them two very different mommy vibes. So I decided to keep trousers for her. So I asked to go for the very first outfit. Peak adapted it a bit and here it was.

(Don't mind the lack of tatoo, we keep forgetting it like Yuki glasses -_-) The result was actually good to me. I just disliked the shoes. I asked Peak for a specific kind of shoes and when he drew them I found it was a good idea so we went with this.

Makes things a bit more feminine than those flat shoes I really dislike (probably because I see those IRL to the feet of a huge amount of women, no matter how they're dressed or how they look.)

Then we added colors quickly and here's Reiko. Re kept the bare shoulders from the original design. And you'll see, even if it wasn't really intentional, that's it's something we've maybe did a bit too much this time. But hey, people keep talking about breasts and butts but other female body parts can be sensual as well :x

So yeah, this is the new Reiko. After that, I still have 6 characters to show. I'll make a post to combine Akiko and Momoko (and it'll probably be the next one) because these two have NOT undergone any kind of change compared to the version drawn by JFC (that you can see on my Pixiv account). Akiko is even the same than in SoV, only Momoko changed design. Anyway, you'll see about that. After that I'll probably take a moment to explain my vision about the modifications I'm making in the main story.
