Hello lovely patrons!
Welcome to our newest monthly update where we update you on all things Two and a Half Studios. As always, these will come out every month on the 6th (AEST).
A quick personal note - I had to say goodbye to my beautiful cat Bing after 7 months of going through HCM/heart failure. This was an incredibly difficult month for us and while we did our best to get what we could done, this will be a shorter update. We'll hopefully be back to normal for next months update, so please bear with me!

A Date with Death ZERO
The eighth chapter of A Date with Death ZERO, our prequel webcomic about Casper, will release early on Patreon next week, and the seventh chapter will release on Webtoon and Tapas!
Here's a look at one of our WIPs of chapter 8 - it's amazing watching it go from storyboard to completed chapter:

The designs are basd on their glamors - someone higher up in the organization obviously likes cute things.
New Character Accessories
Thanks to our wonderful Kickstarter backers, we're having a host of new outfits and accessories added to A Date with Death! Specifically to the Expansion DLC.
With the outfits finished up, Fuyuure is now working on the various accessories. We hope to be able to send out the finished artworks to backers by the end of June.

Art
Emmett's first CG has now been complete, and we've moved on to Florian's! Each romance option will have one CG in the demo, and then more along their respective routes in the full game.
We're also now working on finalizing our opening movie - here's a look at some of the lineart:
We're excited to be able to complete this and show it off soon!
Programming
A quick update on programming - this took up the majority of my work time in the past month. This was the list I gave last month for what I had left to do:
1. Stat and level up screen and system
2. Auction screen and system (I have a mockup of this working to adapt, though!)
3. Marketplace screen and system
4. Gallery (should be easy!)
5. Journal
6. History (my most hated...)
7. Relationship tracker screen (should be simple!)
8. Stat tree (should be simple enough...?)
8. Updates to the NVL/dialogue window
And what I have completed from that:
1. Stat/level up screen (experience system to come)
2. Marketplace screen and system (percentage chance of different amount of items, at different rarities and conditions, and these change depending on your stats and what point in the game you're at, chance of fake items and whether you recognize the fake item or not)
3. Journal (two versions - one that shows your current inventory, and lets you set prices, and a collections menu that shows what you've collected and what you're missing overall)
4. History
5. Updates to NVL menu

NVL Updates

We've added in the icons next to each name, as well as added the wallet, moving around the calendar date, and adding the journal icon to the quick menu (which leads to inventory and stats).
We still have quite a few screens to go - adding in the UI doesn't usually take too long, it's the systems that come along with each screen that are time consuming to create and integrate with everything else. But we're getting there now!
Next month, we're going to have some pretty cool game announcements, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled!
