Dev Diary #1: The Brothel (part 1)

Hello everyone!

As I promised earlier this month, I'm gonna give you a first look at the brothel stuff in the game.

Before that, I'd like to mention one thing that seemed to have worried some of you:

The Brothel will NOT replace the sex-based fights. It's just another gameplay element.

Another thing I've already mention but it doesnt hurt to say it again: those previews are currently mainly done on the programming side. The whole UI is filled with place holders. The UI will be worked on once everything has been coded, so don't fret if you find things "ugly" it's normal.

Now we can start!

The first thing you have to know about the brothel is that there will be different possibilities about it. You'll have different options when opening the menu. And of course, what we're currently working on is the biggest part: the female side of things.

How will it work?

This is basically the "main" screen.

On the left side you'll have the girls and on the right side you'll have the guys. There's a total of 5 slots. When a girl slot is open, it automatically opens it for the guy in front of her.

Basically things are simple as hell: you select the girl you want in the desired slot and you let her have sex during the night. The night session is automatic. The only thing you have to do is select the girl you want.

When you click inside an empty slot, you open the girl selection screen. Each unlocked girl will appear and hovering her will show a bunch of informations. I will cover the "data" part in the next dev post because there's quite a lot to tell about them.

Once you've selected your girl, she'll fill the empty slot automatically like that:

Things will look much better in the end, but that's more or less the idea. Once you have selected your girl, you'll just have to click on a "start working" button and everything will be automatic.

The only stat I'm going to mention today is the stamina. Basically one stamina point = one customer. So here, if Kaya has 3 stamina points, it means she'll have sex with 3 customers before being exhausted and stopping her work.

Once a night is over, you gain money that will serve you on different other parts of the game. There's much more to say about it, but I'll go progressively through different posts.

As the game will progress, the girls will get experience and get better and you'll be able to open more and more slots until the 5 are all open.

One very last important thing to mention: The Brothel is a mini-game. As such all the stats inside the brothel remain in the brothel. Kaya leveling up her global rank or her fighting level will have no indicence on the brothel stats and vice-versa. Just thought it was important to mention it at some point.
