Glad papa Steve is back, the big topic i want your take on and cover from your presepective is the rise of astro bot and how it sweeped the nation and how concord many missed steps caused it to crash and burn like it did.

2024-11-17 15:27:10 +0000 UTCI think there is just almost always going to be an option for better visuals with lower frame rate haha once we entered the realm of giving options on consoles there's not really going back. I honestly don't know that Rebirth was showing the seams of the PS5 Pro, as Square have had notable visual issues with all of their big graphically advanced games starting with the PS4 gen and Rebirth is an outlier technically having such a blurry frame rate mode on base PS5, especially compared to Sony's first party offerings. You're totally right about it being optional.

2024-11-17 08:21:03 +0000 UTCwhoa baby big papa steve is back again, what a sight for sore eyes, or ears, or whatever. man that mice infestation sucks i've had to deal with a few of those over the years, those dang inspectors never check for them its ridiculous, frick inspectors. also congrats on tying the knot papa steve very happy to hear it. glad to hear you enjoying lego horizon. i remember getting some joy out of the sonic lego dimensions set back in the day. good fun games that you can just relax to. they also pour a surprising amount of love into the games. also since you mentioned physical vs digital, i would be interested in hearing your thoughts. i personally am still a physical boi, but i genuinely do believe that digital is probably the better choice from all aspects, including preservation. that said i'm addicted to shelf candy in my teeny tiny living space that is slowly burying me in plastic, but i'm hoping some day i can open my third eye and go full digital, honestly. great hearing from you again steve, much love to you brother

Enjoyed hearing the pro talk but it's just not for me at that price and horizon just isn't a series I'm emotionally invested in to want to buy spinoffs, just my opinion but glad ya like it. As for next week, it might sound boring but yeah I really was hoping to hear the stuff missed in the last few months. Above all else, the amazing high and shinning winner of game in astro bot. Then the genuinely insane, possibly the industry's biggest and shortest flop that was concord.

2024-11-17 00:43:33 +0000 UTCWooo! PlayNation is back - and what a week to come back on too, with a lot of juicy PS5 news to cover. Having binged LEGO Horizon while sick, I agree that it's a fun game that definitely feels made for children/youths/casual-gamers who may not be familiar with Horizon as an IP first and foremost. That said, I'm don't entirely agree with the idea that they stripped out the meaning of the game - while things are much sillier here, I'd say they retained the climate crisis / global warming messaging pretty 1:1 with the original game.
