Frontier Monsters & More: Nef-Garmat

This months winner was Nef-Garmat from Monster Hunter Explorer! In another upset for myself (I wanted Odi to win; I did name the desert region after it), the Nef-Garmat is a CR 17 creature that was a monster that a member of the patreon wanted for the boss in their own game. So I was super happy it won and even voted for it myself, which I rarely vote in general. The nef-garmat 100% reminds me of frontier monsters and their huge AOE abilities. The big issue is, because of how vast its move set is, I wasn't able to incorporate all of its actions due to page space. I sadly had to remove my plans to have the tail crystal mechanic (where it can drop it and hunters can pick it up for damage buffs), but overall I think I covered all of its abilities either by other area of effects or focusing on the ones that made it unique to add to the stat block.

The other thing many of you might notice is the Nef-Garmat only has 92 hit points. This is due to nef being a true CR 17 mythic monster. Its mythic state activates basically at half of its hit points, healing it back to full for a total of 184. It also doesn't provide any additional experience for fighting it as a mythic monster vs not, because it has to be fought as one or it shouldn't be used.

Finally, I have been working on a number of scripts this month to convert my markdown code into a FoundryVTT json. I am very happy with how its turned and it is saving me a ton of time. Due to that, all FoundryVTT tier members will get a file they can use to import the new monster every month. Now I am still working through the backlog of frontier monsters at this time, along with all the original subspecies, but I will have the Frontier and more monsters out before the end of the month. I will update this post with a link to that post for my FoundryVTT tier members to grab the monster. I will also be adding all future files to that post as well. So it should be an easy one stop shop for the patreon exclusive monsters in the future.

In the .Zip attached, you will find a PDF for the nef-garmat and a token used for online play. Within the PDF you will find its stat block and loot table that is usable with the rule set found within Amellwind's Guide to Monster Hunting located in the description of this Patreon page.

Hope you like it and as always, thank you all for your support!
