Subspecies: Desert Seltas

This months winner is the desert seltas! The desert seltas is the CR 4 version of the CR 3 desert seltas. While this is only a 1 CR difference they are fairly different creatures. The desert seltas not only has more HP and a higher + to hit, but it can also paralyze, pin a target to the ground, and be used to ambush PCs from underground. It also has a bigger loot table with a couple of its high end material effects pushing heavily into the uncommon material effects (which isn't super common for a CR 4). Overall I am happy with how it turned out and even though they are close to the same CR, they are still mechanically different in a variety of ways.

Within the PDF you will find a small description of the creature and its stat block and loot table that is usable with the rule set found within Amellwind's Guide to Monster Hunting located in the description of this Patreon page.
