We had made a post regarding this separation a day or two ago, but now we will be going into a smaller bit of depth to the best of our ability.
As adressed prior, the main priority now is to remove ourselves from this situation and resume work ASAP. And because of that, we've been working extra hard.
Please, do not seek this person out or speculate who this person may be. And be aware that BECAUSE it was so sudden a decision, and because this situation is being -actively monitored and changed-, information may change for the better at any time.
Feel free to check in as we provide update after update. As all continues, our next one should be the next steps for the game and production.

We apologize. And we understand that this may sound strange or frustrating.
No person in SnaccPop is in a place to even engage in further contact, let alone legal discourse, of any kind. Mentally, emotionally, physically, financially-- no person in SnaccPop is healthy enough or capable of instigating any further contact with this individual.
Legal discourse is an expensive and dubious route that would further force already hurting SnaccPop persons to further interact with a person of whom they do not feel safe around. It is much more complex than simply "filing a lawsuit" and involves many types of intense labor, travel, etc..
While alternative avenues can be found, this is not a route any one member is able or willing to take on. We understand and appreciate any support and patience- and we empathize with and apologize for any frustration or bitterness. We will accept it with validation. We apologize and plan to move forwards accordingly and strategically.
No further contact with this individual is planned to occur, for the safety and wellbeing of our team.

I know you'll be able to pull through this rough patch. What that person did is very manipulative and I'm glad you guys cut ties with them. You guys have all of my support.

For them to threaten so much only re-affirms it was never for the sake of the fans yet their own personal gain. This is absolutely insane how they can just withhold so much from multiple people. Moving on to higher ground is best, and it seems like you all are hopeful for the best, which is good to hear! We have a sleeve of good news to give you all as soon as we've settled everything and have it in stone. Setbacks to us are nothing more than a challenge. Among the team there is confusion as to the HimboEngine, the coding language, etc.. There is also the ethical matter of continuing to utilize work built under these conditions and the principle of building the game off of such tumultuous foundations. At this point, SnaccPop is willing and ready to move forward. We still have funds to produce the game, and are most honored and privileged to do so. We will be onboarding and seeking financial assistance. We are run by persons willing to contribute their passions to help. We're ready and we know we've got much against us but we still will try.

That sounds like a very sappy thing to say, but it's pushing us to do things we never thought possible. Filing SnaccPop as an LLC-- Getting all the proper paperwork necessary-- And working with people who understand the fans and are willing to help with their exceptional skills. We have a team of x4 persons willing to work together in a shared project in a COMMON game building engine that will be hosted in-cloud by SnaccPop Studios itself. As for the website- The Programmer registered the website themself. More updates are to come that answer your questions more in depth! But we're hesitant in the moment to speak in absolutes until the tasks in question are finished.

Whoever this individual may be should not be acting like a thief while claiming they're "doing it for the fans". As a fan, I find this threatening instead for me, and I don't plan on to going onto anything until there are any updates on the matter. They clearly don't have sympathy and instead have a huge ego. It's completely understandable that time is needed to deal with both this and the fallout from this, I can't imagine how stressed you must all be right now. I recognize that this was an intentional and unforeseeable breach of the individual's contract and offboarding procedure, but since the studio is not able to pursue legal action at this time, may I ask what is being done internally to ensure that similar loss of game build data to this degree does not reoccur in the future? Or even what will be done to ensure greater transparency and game build archival between future developers and the management team? I'm also a bit confused as to how an individual game developer was able to hold hostage ownership of the web domain? Were they also responsible for website development for the studio?

I hope this time of healing, brings back light and all good things. I only recently was introduced to yall about a month ago and you've helped make me smile, laugh, etc. each and every day. If you want to do something for the fans then give all the stuff back and wipe your hands clean of it. If you release this stuff NO ONE will be on your side. Stop with the ego tripping thinking you're entitled to a position of authority on the game when you are literally playing hostage. Don't use the fans as a lame excuse for you being upset that you got fired. Do the RIGHT THING and give everything back and walk away without completely publicly blowing up your career. If I was making a game I would never hire you if I found out you had done this. Snaccpop is being VERY generous to not out you for this behavior. Give the stuff back and quietly move on and hope this becomes a lesson to never do this again. It's completely understandable why you all don't want to take legal action. It can become a complicated, expensive and emotionally draining process and you all have been through enough already. It can end up costing more than the amount you've already lost. All the best to you guys and I'll be here to support even if it takes longer. I rather a game come out slowly where everyone is in a healthy environment during production, than a game rushed out on crunch.

I know I don’t speak for everyone but I think most if not all sane fans of SDJ would agree that leaked content is NOT what we want. Holding the game and its contents at gun point like a hostage victim is only going to make the fans freak out! Everyone is already freaking out! Because once this is over, wherever the situation goes, there is going to be a huge setback no matter if things are or are not leaked. Nothing will be solved because everything will still have to be rebuilt or at least modified. I feel for the people on the team having to deal with this situation, it’s almost exactly what happened to the fanverse initiative. I hope you guys can recoup quickly and get the needed time to recover from this. We’re hoping for the best for everything harmed in this situation and hoping the future will be brighter for not just swwsdj, but for the entire studio.

We would ask fans to please not insist that we continue to extend our time in proximity with this individual. We understand that may sound frustrating- but legal discourse is a much more complicated matter than just taking someone to a court and getting what you want in return. We will not be responding to direct inquisitions to do so, although we appreciate the sentiment as supportive. We have plans on moving forwards, and we would just like to do that lest the health of ANY persons involved further deteriorates to a detrimental degree.
