Buffyverse influence: Carrie's unicorn collection is giving Harmony's unicorn collection. And V stabbing Mercer with the unicorns figurine is giving Buffy staking a vamp with the carousel unicorn. The connection between MO and Mercer is that they were a part of the sociology prison experiment like Wallace and Logan did. Mo was the prisoner while Mercer was the guard. Which is why Mercer calls Mo "prisoner" and Mo calls Mercer "sir".
