Xena Warrior Princess 5x05 Reaction

Unfortunately they couldn’t. Not until a certain point anyway. It would have meant their jobs. It was before Ellen. Homophobia was that bad back then. What they ended up getting away with was already quite remarkable. And like I said. It’s the fact their intention was sincere and they tried their best to do it despite the censorship is what makes the Xena lot a cut above the rest. There’s creators today that aren’t that brave.

Yeah I wish they kept the original script sometimes

Bo D

Yeah she did...lmmfao

Bo D

Yep. Regardless of gender.

Girl4Music

Honestly I’m surprised. Most people couldn’t care less about him.

Also I think Lucy Lawless has a knack for creating chemistry with her screen partner.

It's awesome how much innuendo they put in this show despite their restrictions. Xena has alot of people obsessed with her lmao, can't blame them. There alway seems to be some sexually charged confrontations between Xena and them for sure lol.

There are a few things I like about this episode, including all the skeletal goings-on. They bring the work of Ray Harryhausen to mind, perhaps deliberately. (It was certainly deliberate in "Once A Hero.") I figured you'd be very responsive to Alti's line.

Things I never thought I'd hear you say when starting this series: 'I wonder what Joxer does when he's not with Xena?' Lol, I like that you like Joxer so much

So you're saying that maybe it was Alti who killed Anokin out of jealousy and to lure Xena into the dark side? 😲😲 I don't know, but it would've been a good plot twist ha!

Hilarious how one of Xena’s mortal enemies wanted to be reincarnated as her child. This show is ridiculously W-led and WLW validating. It’s insane. I fucking love it with everything in me.

Girl4Music

I swear Alti was into Xena when she was evil. Even if they were never a thing. Xena seemed more interested in Anokin. Always went for the young ones.

Girl4Music

“But I can tell you this, Xena… you’re the only constant in my life, and unless you know something I don’t, I’m not going anywhere. So I’m going to say the most selfish thing I’ve ever said to you: that baby’s my baby too, and I deserve a chance to fight for it as much as you.” - Gabrielle, ‘Them Bones, Them Bones’ (Original script dialogue.) Yep. They might not be able to make it as blatant as possible but they’re going there. And why not? They’re the two lead characters. It only makes sense. And it’s exactly what would be expected if either one of them was male. What’s the problem? Homophobia.

Girl4Music

I just love this episode 😆 you get X & G getting all dramatically lovey-dovey together, Alti throwing gay one-liners constantly, and a ridiculous CGI skeleton fight to top it all.. just the campiness I love 😆
