Since you’ve asked for show recommendations, I’m currently rewatching one that I would really like to see reactions to: Penny Dreadful. It’s a Victorian era horror drama that came out in 2014 with three seasons and 27 episodes overall (plus a short spin-off in 2020). While an original story it borrows heavily from 19th century gothic literature (Frankenstein, Dracula, The Picture of Dorian Gray among others) but does so quite creatively. It is very well written and acted with an especially great performance by Eva Green in one of the main roles.
