Well, the character of Eli was based on the stories about Jesus Christ being in India. That's been openly declared by the show, but it's not like they were being all that subtle about it.

Once the magician's assistant is free of the demon possession, another lady helps her up and we never see her again. So I guess his assistant doesn't actually travel with his act, she's just a girl he met in India and he gets a new assistant to learn his routine everywhere he goes?

It was more like a slap to move her forward whereas in ‘Paradise Found’ it was a way for her to get Xena to agree to Aidan’s offer to stay. But yeah, they’re both very “handsy” in the India arc.

But there’s another episode that does that even better coming up next. You can do yin-yang symbolism but really, you have to show what that actually means. This next episode is what does that. Xena and Gabrielle balance each other. That’s the what. But the real question to answer is why and how? Why do they balance each other? How do they have this profound, almost spiritual connection? ‘Paradise Found’ answers none of that. It just puts the idea or visual of it into your head.

Gabs abs. 🔥 Renee always does a wonderful job playing evil. Renee said she didn’t enjoy licking Lucy’s face as much as she thought she would because of all the make-up. It presumes she would enjoy it anyway.
